Hi there ,

I'm wanting to give this photo as a gift to my SIL , it's of her daughter , i've been playing around and want to insert a quote but having trouble with

*colour of font?? it has to stand out because of the grass but i don't want to take away from the photo.

* position?? Don't know where to position it , do i write vertically or horizontally??

*size of text??

The quote i want to use is
"i'm so glad that you are here , it makes me realise just how beautiful my world is ...."

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks
Wendy

I think I would have to play with it to see what looked best, but to start I think I would try to crop the photo in close to her shoulder on the right side. Then put your quote horizontally on the left in the grass. I think I would chose the color of the flower that is in her hair and I would try at least two different fonts. Possibly making the word "you" and "beautiful" in a different font than the main font and then making those words slightly larger. Post your finished project once you get it done. Good luck.

Its a very nice photo. I wouldn't crop it or add any text. Looks great as is.

I agree that its a gorgeous photo as is... But I like your quote too. You might try just adding a mat (or box) under the photo only along the bottom and putting your quote there. My best advice for your other questions is to "play" a bit. Use a font that "feels" like what you want to say. Do you want a playful font? or joyous? Romantic?, silly? Try different fonts until one seems to fit, try different colors and sizes. One of the best things about digiscraping is that you can UNDO what doesn't work. Play, have some fun, and if you want post what you've done here and ask what folks think!

Good luck - this will be a fabulous gift!

Wenjax, I took your picture and fiddled around with it, this is what I came up with. http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=67752&cat=1532
I loved your quote, but it really was just too long for the space, so I took the last part, which really explains the sentiment of the quote anyway. I hope this helps.

Use the Rule of Thirds. Generally speaking, your photos will look better if the subject is not in the center of the frame. There's a good article on this in Scrapbook Answers last issue. Plus, it includes a CD that has a kit from DSP.
