7th Challenge: Dec. 27 - Jan. 10 2006

I'll be kinda busy over the next couple of days; you likely will be too, but I'm going to go ahead and get this up.

My challenge is to use this kit (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=67242&cat=1371) to scrap someone you haven't scrapped before, or don't ordinarily scrap. It can be a neighbor, co-worker, friend, or family member that would love this gift from you. THEN you need to print it and give it to that person!

The colors were inspired by a dress a co-worker of mine was wearing one day. With the pinks and browns in it, it was easy to give the kit her own name as well - Rosy Brown.

Anyway, do what you will with it, change the colors if you need to, but scrap someone you DIDN'T have to for Xmas, and give them the gift of your creativity!

Yay! I get to be first! Christmas is so great, the kids have so many new things to do, I get to play too!

I did my page with a picture of my step-brother and his girlfriend/soon-to-be-fiance. I don't know if I'll be brave enough to give it to them, Z, I'm such the nerd compared to my trendy brother, and I hate to remind him of that! I'll try though, just for you.

I knew I had to get my second version done tonight as I wont be here for the next week, but when i went to open it in PS to alter...horror...:eek: I hadnt saved it as a PSD file!!!!:eek: So I havent been able to make the changes i wanted to, I will tackle it when i get back and re-do it from scratch. For now to give some idea of how it would be I have placed a cropped photo over the top, but have been unable to alter the tags. Must get some sleep I have a long drive tomorrow!

Oh Donut I am so sorry. I wouldn't worry about it too much though, I think your layout is wonderful and if you make no changes you still have done a great job!

Z you kit is terrific! BUT, I have to say it is taking me way out of my comfort zone. I am such a 'linear' person, curves tend to make me get 'itchy.' ;) Everytime I work on this layout there is a part of my brain that keeps saying something along the lines of, "but this 'part' isn't lining up with that 'part.' Ah, when did I get so rigid in my approach to design?! :) Thank you for the challenge Z, either I'm going to come up with something really fantastic OR I'm going to embarass myself, either way I'm sure to learn something new.

By the way, everyone elses entries in this round have been fantastic!

I've taken my camera with me to the last several parties we've attended and none of the ladies there have had the right look I'm wanting to achieve. I think I'm trying hard to procrastinate so that I can do a layout for myself! Elizabeth, your kit is wonderful and suits me to a T! LOL - my friends all wear navy clothes and blue jeans and I'm wanting a fancy outfit to match your beautiful kit. Now I see the link has expired and I blew it. Will you be reposting the link? I have a picture I took of my mom that I think may work - I've never done a layout with just her - does that count?

I really want to improve my layouts and figure out how to make them special instead of adequate and ran across this boot camp. I'm hoping it is fine to just jump in and start and I'm hoping that I am linking you all to my layout.

I chose to do a layout on my neighbor's son as I happened to have pictures of him and I never would have done a layout on him otherwise. It has been a bit of a struggle for me to use this kit and not turn the page too girly. I would love any constructive criticism - if you can find my layout. The last (and only other) time I tried to link to my layout I sent everyone to never-never land. It shouldn't be too hard ;)
