I was wondering where everyone buys their digital scrapbook albums? The only ones that I can find our always so plain. They are all just plain old boring... white, blue, red, and green. Is there any place that sells really pretty ones like the traditional scrapbook albums that I am always seeing?

I just use traditional scrapbook albums. Just slip my pages in the sheet protectors.
Most of mine are pretty plain, but some come with stickers and such to decorate the outside. You can also go to the scrapbook store and buy album decorations :)

I get some pretty great ones at Hobby Lobby -- they're considered traditional, but have the sleeves so I just slip in the print. I do 8 x 8's as I just fell in love with that size...to create at and for the convenience of shelving the albums.

I found some at Michaels.. for 8.5 x8.5 and they are very pretty. Plus you can use the Sunday's 40% or 50% coupons.

I too use "regular albums" (I wasn't even aware that there are digital ones out there). A brand new JoAnn's Superstore just opened near me and they've got a lot of great albums...traditional colors, funky colors, stripes, etc. I was impressed with their selection and they've got 40% off coupons too! Even Costco has 12x12 albums that you can use...they are single color but bright and have a picture window on the front.

I also find albums at Michaels -- both plain, but also some with rather elegant covers - both are postbound that I can slide my finished pages into - I've even purchased some really pretty 6" albums there!

Sometimes I want "plain" albums, but I found some beautiful ones at Michael's that was perfect for my mini-album Christmas presents. I get the ones with the sheet protectors.

I need an 8.5 x8.5 so I will be going back to Michael's to see if I can find one. Can you say printing error?

there are digital albums? Why? What's the difference? I'm so confused!!! I use postbound albums with the sleeves and slide my prints into them. I have some plain and some super funky ones that hurt my eyes when I walk by the bookshelf (okay, it's a stack on the floor, but we're working on shelves!) As long as you find on in the size you print, just use the sleeves. I like them, they give the layout a nice gloss and protect it from wet fingers smudging them, or fingerprints (yes, the kids can reach the stack on the floor...)

I ended up with an album this size purely by accident. I was doing an anniversary album for my daughter and SIL and found an album in Target that I liked and at a good price. It was a little difficult to find extra pages, though. Target didn't have them and LSS had mostly 8x8. But the nice ladies at the store helped me find the size I needed.

So you might check Target.

Thanks, ImRed. I accidentally printed one of my mini-albums at 8.5 by 8.5 instead of 8x8. So instead of tossing them, I remembered I had seen that size album somewhere and I could put it together for a different recipient.

thanks for all the replies. Michael's is where I've bought too. But the closest one near my house still carries very little scrapbooking stuff. I'll have to look at some of the postbound ones. Thanks again everyone!

I am not sure what you meant by "digital" album, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in! Rag & Bone Bindery carries a line of digital albums that are post bound albums with inkjet pages that you can run throught any inkjet printer and replace back in the album. These albums are gorgeous.....

and they come on about 30 different cover styles....I have to test whether
you can use these with sleeves...this may be an alternative to the 8.5x11 dilemma that many people are having....I will post back on that!!!!

you can get them at ragandbone.com, jennibick.com or expressionspb.com

Hope this helps!
