Is 'different' ok?

I have done a few layouts with kits, but they always seem a bit too fussy for me. (I have never been a fussy kinda gal)
I do adore the kits, but I always seem to like my layouts more plain. Is that a bad thing?

This layout is very dark because of the 'sleeping' theme. Although it was taken during a daytime nap, I always think darkness when I think sleep.

Is it ok or should I just give up and go home now?!

Please click here for my most recent layout.

ALL comments appreciated. I take criticism well.. (I think!!)

I posted on your layout (which is beautiful). Just looks to me that you are a graphic type scrapper instead of a paper style. Nothin wrong with that!

Thankyou SO MUCH ladies!

You have no idea how much better I feel for your posts!

I guess its just that so many layouts I have seen are paper scrapbooking. I didn't know there were different types of scrapping

Paper effects with all the embellishments are beautiful though.. maybe one day I will be better at them!

Its nice to know that I'm on the right track

Thanks once again.

Do what makes you happy - that is my motto! Life would be pretty boring if we were all the same.

I really like your LO. I am in the same boat as you, I like to keep it simple. I am sometimes overwhelmed thinking I need to have layer upon layer of coordinating stuff but I am getting over it!

different is good! the digital scrapping world would be boring with all paper-style layouts! you might even fade and blend the text and go for a softer, dreamy feel. simple is good!

Definitely go with the style that makes your heart sing! Matters not a whit what you do - graphic, paper, crayon - if it tells your story and you love it - it's all gold!!
