Jan/Feb 2009
Deadline: 8/6/2008
We're looking for your best and brightest pages to star in our upcoming January/February issue! Here are the top five things we're looking for:
1. Your childhood memories. Talk a walk down memory lane! Scrapbook any photo or memory from your childhood (from the baby years on up to the teen years) to considered for the January/February "Our Readers" column.
Send your layouts to us at
SimpleSubmissions@gmail.com with the subject "Our Readers" by August 6.
2. Are you having a love affair? Send us layouts about the hobbies (like running or scrapbooking), objects (like chocolate or collectible spoons), habits (like constantly chewing gum or sleeping late) that you're hopelessly devoted to. It's a great way to scrapbook about yourself without really having to scrapbook "about" yourself, if you know what we mean. Share the passions that define you for a chance to be published in our January/February Share feature.
Send your layouts to us at
SimpleSubmissions@gmail.com with the subject "Share Feature" by August 6.
3. Make the most of buttons. Send us unique, out-of-the box ideas for decorating a layout with buttons for a chance to be published in our Make the Most of It column.
Send your layouts to us at
SimpleSubmissions@gmail.com with the subject "Make the Most of It" by August 6.
4. Take everyday, candid photos. What everyday scenes are a part of your regular routine? We want to see photos of your real, everyday, unposed life.
Eating breakfast, walking the dog, working away in your office cubicle, chatting on the phone, shoveling snow, baking, playing dress-up with the kids, helping with homework, watching television in your pajamas. Send us photos of whatever it is you do all day for a chance to be published in our January/February Focus on Photos column.
Send your photos to us at
SimpleSubmissions@gmail.com with the subject "Focus on Photos" by August 6.
5. Simple schemes. Watch for our next scheme, which we're posting next week, and put your own spin on it for a chance to be published in Simple Schemes! Details to come.
