A little off topic: Storage of EHD

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on storing their EHDs to protect against catastrophic incidents in the home (fire, flood, etc). I don't anticipate anything of the sort, of course, but I know it can happen. I read about a lady who had put her scrapbooks in a safe and they were saved when their home was hit by a tornado. I don't really have room or need for a safe, but wondered if you use anything to store valuables and such in a lock box. I would like something to put my EHD and some personal papers etc. Thanks in advance!

I just have a small fire safe that I bought at WalMart to keep my birth certs, titles, savings bonds and passports in, etc. Just the really important docs that I would need to have in case a disaster wiped out my identity, mostly. I don't know what I'd ever do if my scrapbooks were destroyed, but it's something I ought to think about. I have around 30 paper ones. Digital stuff is all backed up online, so I should be ok there.
