Question When is Enough Enough?

I realize that this is only my 5th layout but it's driving me nuts. I keep re-working it but can't decide what's still bothering me about it.

http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com...cat=500&page=1

Are there too many elements? (I just loved playing with this kit!!)
Should I remove the ribbon at the bottom?

Maybe I've been working on it for too long and need to give it a rest? But I'm not ready to give up and would really appreciate any comments, advice, help from anyone and everyone.

Thanks!
Linda

Well I love that chequered ribbon at the bottom and the keyring, but I would see what it looks like without the bumper bar over the word Dream - you know just click on the eye in your layer palette and then click back again, this usually helps me to see what the whole thing could look like without actually deleting any elements. Also I would like to see the top image in a circle also - I guess I'm just a symmetry gal. Anyhow great LO and a really good idea - I love the colour combination

Very good question! I can sometimes work on a layout and everything just falls in place and other times I have 10 revisions before I get it right. Usually the thing that takes the longest for me is text - choosing fonts, colors and placement. Design-wise, I know how to place photos and elements, but the text gets me every time. I've gotten smart and bought Scraps of Words here at DSP so I don't have as much to tweak.

I am working on another layout at my husband's request - the first one I did had 6 revisions, and this one has had that many and I've not posted it because he doesn't like it. (I do!!) Again, it's the text that's tripping me up. Here's a link to the first one I did for him: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com...cat=500&page=1

I like doing revisions because I'm a perfectionist. When I first started digi scrapping, I knew that I was doing "okay" but not WOW stuff, so I didn't print anything. Now that I've learned the do's and don't's I do print my stuff and I love it.

I like the second one best! Remember that you can also make some items semi-transparent in Photoshop, so if you think it's "too busy," some of the items can be made to blend into the next one. Just a thought, but I think your second one is a winner! I love the idea behind it.
