QuOTD 4/26: Money/Pricing

What amount is TOO much for a kit? Would you buy it anyway if it was awesome? Do you think you spend too much on kits/supplies? Show me your favorite kit (old or new)??

Everyone has a different financial situation so it is really hard to determine.

I buy to much as my stash is huge and I have almost everything I need.

However I do like to participate in the Designers challenges so I still buy more.

So yes I think I spend to much as I don't need more stuff.

LOL my favorite kit changes by the day. . . I could maybe narrow it down to my top 20. . .
As to value. . . unless I really fall in love with a kit and have an immediate need for it (ie, nothing in my stash will subsitute and I have an externally imposed deadline for a page), I don't like to pay full price in the store for kits. I'll wait for a sale or a coupon. I MIGHT pay full price for a VC, if I have something in mind for it in the near future. I'll pay full price for a challenge kit if I like both the kit and the bonus. I'm sure my husband would say I spend too much on my scrapping supplies. . . but I think he spends too much on lots of other things, so we're even So far we've kept the mortgage paid at least lol

I mostly buy kits that I know I will get more than one use from. I rarely mix and match kits (not clever enough) and I think I have made about 13 LOs from this VC by Lauren

Bennie Value Collection

I have used this set by Lauren numerous times as well

Quite Bright Value Collection

and I have used the backgrounds from this set by Suzanne C Walker more times than I remember

Just Plain BackPack

Just Plain White Page Kit

I have numerous other kits that I really love, but these are the ones that I have had the most use from.

Oh yes and to actually answer the questions, my DH and credit card think that I have spent way too much on kits over the years
I rarely buy a kit specifically to do a challenge unless I really really like it, and if I really really like it and can see that I will have multi use of it, I will pay top dollar.

If the kit is awesome enough, then price wouldn't matter much to me. I would buy it if I loved it. Sometimes I will wait for a sale, but most of the time I'm too impatient. I definitely have too much stuff! Probably more than 300 kits that I have NEVER used! I know, I have a problem

I rarely use a kit more than once but some of my favs are:

Urban Independence Value Collection

Tangible Distraction Value Collection

Through Childs Eyes Value Collection

Love the Through a Childs Eye, not my typical style but I just put it into my wish list and waiting for a sale.

These kits are gorgeous!! I'm off to wish list them!! LOL

I would say I'd pay full price for a kit, if I could use it multiple times and it was universal. I like sales, and freebs are even better!! LOL
At this point as a newbie I don't spend too much on kits, as I browse the store I can definitely see a change coming!!!
