I used blend modes in several different ways on this layout:

Summer Fun

I used Overlay blend mode on the BG photo and masked out the edges of the photo. I used Divide Blend mode on the stamp element. I also used blend modes to edit the smaller photos-duplicate photo, apply screen blend mode to the top photo layer and then adjust the opacity to your liking. It's a quick, easy way to brighten up a photo.

another for me

What I did was duplicated the photo, bottom layer is on screen blend with lowered opacity, top layer is on Luminance Legacy blend with lowered opacity and then I applied a mask to the top layer as well.

To be honest, I rarely use blend modes. I usually stick to paper style. But here is a layout that I used some blend modes:

A Girl and her Doll

I did a full-sized photo on the white background paper with a color burn blend mode. Then I duplicated the picture and erased parts of it and also used a color blend mode. Both are at about 65% opacity.

Ok I wanted to do one specifically for this challenge

For the photo I made a copy, the lower copy is in screen blend at 22%opacity, the upper copy is in Luminance Legacy blend with 50% opacity. Then I placed a splatterdoodledoo (Nicole Young) Dotty mask in between. I then deleted the outside edges of the photos using the magic wand, and deleted the Inside (white part) of the actual mask leaving only the dotty areas so the photo would show through.
For the leaf elements, they are in hardlight blend with 70% opacity, for the flowers I just lowered opacity to 70%, and the butterflies are in screen blend. The title is at 66% opacity

I'm cheating and posting an old layout. It was my most successful using multiple blend modes.

You should experiment more with graphic style - you are good at it

Here's one from me. I frequently use blend modes. On this one, I blended the burst bg using Hard Light at 85%. The photo's colors were a bit harsh for this page so I duplicated it, desaturated and changed the blend mode to soft light at 60%. Then I duplicated once again, desaturating and using Screen mode at 31% to lighten it a bit and bring out some of the details.
Duplicating an underexposed photo and using Screen mode in varying opacities is a great way to salvage photos I might not be able to use otherwise. It's one of my favorite tricks.
