How do I fix this?

I've created a set of 6 posters (only one pictured here, though) to use in my classroom. They are designed at 8x10. I had one printed at Costco, and the top and bottom are cut off.

The picture shows it as I designed it and how it actually printed. I did use the crop function at Costco, so I knew that it would print that way. My question is this: how can I fix it so that the poster is still 8x10 but has an even border on all sides?

Click HERE to go to the post in my gallery and to see it bigger.

Thanks, everyone!

It looks as if the printable region for the Costco print not is not truly 8 by 10. I guess just figure out what is the printable region and set your poster with that in mind. I would still keep your background at the full page for "full bleed" meaning that some of the background will indeed get cropped.

Keep in mind that every store may have a machine that crops and prints differently.

Thanks for the response. I kept the size at 8x10 but resized the "picture" itself to a smaller size; there will then be a white background that will need to be trimmed off. Couldn't think of another way to do it.

I'm glad you came up with a solution. I print 12x18 posters for my classroom at Costco and haven't had trouble, but I think that is because none of mine have borders. I do lots with crazy fun backgrounds and text only.
