Quotd Weekend Edition 8/10-8/12: Kit Comfort Zone

Do you have a style of kit that you are most comfortable with? What about a style you hardly ever use or never have used??

I like pretty kits.........I hardly ever use kits that contain bright colors or primary colors.

My comfort is pretty paper style kits. I am trying to get into more graphic/grunge. I hardly use any with whimsy or extremely bright colors.

I love using brights and whimsicals! Pretty is very hard for me as I hardly have any PRETTY photos. I tend towards a paper style and find grunge hard to use, but I work at it.

I think it would get hard if I didn't have any girls to use pretty, but I'm not sure, I love putting pretty kits with my son's pics. Grunge is my enemy I think BUt I'm trying to become at least associates with him!!

I love pretty kits, grungy kits, realistic kits and heritage kits (even though my scanner broke and I haven't ben able to do a heritage LO in ages!! Thus my lack of participation in the Heritage Challenges this month)

The hardest kits for me to work with are bright colors (just look at my gallery and you will see so many neutral colors, gotta step outta my comfort zone!) and kits with loudly patterned papers. Doodle and abstract kits are very hard for me to work with, too.

Oh no, can you scrap any pics for the Preserving the Future challenge?? Or scrap more recent heritage stories? (just a thought)

I am trying more to step out of my comfort zone as well. I think I just get lost on where to place elements out of whimsy or grungy kits.

I like kits with a paper style focus best. Colours grab me first I think though. I like unique elements, not so much the ones that have been in previous kits and simply recoloured or rotated. I like doodly pieces, sticker styles elements, sketched elements, floral and print papers with matching solids.....

I have mostly paper style kits, and when I make things, I make mostly paper style, but I am really trying to get outside of my comfort zone with the graphic and doodly styles. Ohhhhhh, FUN stuff!

I guess I'm an oddball. Graphic and grungy is my go-to style. Probably because I only have boys to scrap unless I borrow photos from others. Don't care for pastels but love bright colored kits.

I definitely can see how grungy would be the best kits for boys. I just find it easy to mix boy pics with paper style pretties!!!

I tend towards graphic, grungy, doodley styles, but I'm comfortable with paperstyle as well. I tend to stay away from anything too pink and girly. Just not my thing, even if i scrap pictures of my nieces or friends' daughters. Pink has to be my least favorite color with purple not far behind. I don't mind bright colors though I hardly use them. I find myself leaning towards nature and/or neutral.
