Very good question! I can sometimes work on a layout and everything just falls in place and other times I have 10 revisions before I get it right. Usually the thing that takes the longest for me is text - choosing fonts, colors and placement. Design-wise, I know how to place photos and elements, but the text gets me every time. I've gotten smart and bought Scraps of Words here at DSP so I don't have as much to tweak.
I am working on another layout at my husband's request - the first one I did had 6 revisions, and this one has had that many and I've not posted it because he doesn't like it. (I do!!) Again, it's the text that's tripping me up. Here's a link to the first one I did for him:

I like doing revisions because I'm a perfectionist. When I first started digi scrapping, I knew that I was doing "okay" but not WOW stuff, so I didn't print anything. Now that I've learned the do's and don't's I do print my stuff and I love it.
