Pocket Leavin's
I was tossing in a load of laundry and remembered again that I wanted to start this thread. Ya see, next to the wash machine, on the laundry counter, is a pile of pocket leavin's. You know...those little items that get left in the pockets and end up in the wash. Sometimes I find them before they hit the washer, sometimes I find them in the bottom of the washer after a load and sometimes I find them clankin' around in the dryer.
When the camera battery is charged, I am going to have to take a picture of the current assortment of pocket leavin's and post it in this thread.
Join in and have some fun...What pocket leavin's do you find on laundry day??? Post your pictures in this thread. Who knows, I might even have to dig up a coupon or two for the best pocket leavin's.

I've washed some doozies in my day... including, but not limited to:
a hundred dollar bill (as well as numerous other denominations of cash and change)
a disposable camera full of photos (that I couldn't recover. <cry>)
the receipt to a shopping trip I couldn't find, as I needed to return an item. And having washed the receipt, I was stuck with the item.
my last tube of lip balm <cry> That was a hard day.
the hardware to a home improvement project I was working on (I couldn't get my shelves to work right until after the laundry was done! teehee!)
I almost washed my cell phone once, but luckily it rang as I was loading the washer!
My driver license and bank card <sigh>
My husband's entire wallet.... and all its contents. oops! Boy was he upset LOL
I am terrible at checking pockets... I usually don't use pockets at all, but when I do, I am pretty much screwed.

Fee the camera would have been the worst!
Blue ink pen and black sharpie (those resulted in lots of unhappiness)
A whole pack of gum (that thankfully didn't get everywhere)
Coins galore (nothing as good as a dollar bill though)
Plastic insects (let's just say the "culprit" is still in trouble)

The tube of lip balm is always the worst and not so much in the washer...but the dryer where the oils in it leak out and stain the entire load.

Ohhh what memories this brings up for me - the bucket along side the washing machine would hold the most amazing stuff over time. My kids are all grown now, one son still at home with me, and my grandson who is my daughters son. Both with disabilites so mostly like grown up little boys, and soooo I still get a very interesting pile of items in the bucket over time. I will have to go and see what is in there at the moment.

Ha... many, many things. The worst things were a pen that my DH always keeps in his back pocket (I have to give him credit as he's normally really good about removing it) and a green crayon... both resulted in entire loads of wash being dumped in the trash.

I washed a 4G USB drive once Couldn't find it anywhere, finally found it in my jeans pocket - they were hanging on the line wet. Remarkably it still worked afterwards.
All yesterdays pockets produced was a small screwdriver - that was pretty good.

Gameboy DS games go through the washer remarkably well. I have yet to have one go through the dryer. I imagine that would be no good.

Tina - that is a riot!!
Dog food is almost as bad as the lip balm. That one makes a huge mess as well.

My pile usually consists of screws, nuts & bolts, coins, the little caps you screw onto electrical wires when you connect them...DH works in maintenance!

Nope, they come out of the dryer in good shape too.
Nintendo Gameboy machines recover after being thrown in the toilet, as long as you let them dry out completely.
