Public Apology
This is difficult to write. I have almost done it a couple of times, but the guilt keeps me from it.
I enjoyed being a mentor in the first quarter of this year, so I signed up to do it again for the third quarter. However, after a single initial email to my mentees, I dropped the ball and stopped any attempt to do what I volunteered to do. Initially it was all very innocent, an out of town trip followed by the catch up that comes when mama is away. But then by the time I felt ready to be a mentor again a week had passed and I felt guilty about taking so long. Well, I have a bad and unbecoming habit of putting unpleasant things off, so day after day went by without me emailing my mentees and apologizing for not getting back to them right away and before I knew it a month had passed and then two. And all this time I avoided DSP because I was too ashamed to show my user name around here.
Now here I am two months later, and I am itching to do some digital scrapbooking and participate in DSP, but my guilt is such that I keep staying away. So, this is my public apology for failing to fulfill the commitment I made to DSP and to my mentees. I am sorry. I'll also send an personal apology by PM to GrandmaCrys and one of my mentees. I have lost the other's information. I will refrain from volunteering for anything unless I am willing to do both the pleasant and unpleasant things.

Life gets in the way! This kind of thing happens quite often and I am sure that all will be forgiven. Please don't beat yourself over the head! I, for one, love your designs(as I have seen them when you and I were in the Designer Finder Contest together) and I am inspired by your beautiful layouts, Robin! I am so glad that you are back!

Welcome back! I totally understand the "putting off the uncomfortable things" - - I do that all the time even when I know it will just make it worse! And I always tell myself I can't do that next time!
Anyway, I'm glad you are showing your face again!

I'm so glad you are still here and planning to dig in and get going. We all fall down sometimes and it is the lovely people here at DSP who help pick up. Welcome back and hope we see loads of layouts in the galleries soon!

Welcome back Robin! I doubt there are any of us here that have never done something similar, I know I currently have 2 things in my non dsp life I am putting off day after day at the moment...maybe your strength will push me to confront them tomorrow!
Looking forward to seeing new work in your gallery!

I just got my laptop back today -- oh man after quite a number of months. I did the same thing and I got my laptop back today so I am wanting to come back. I would check in every now and again, but it's not the same.
Anyhow, I am sure it happens to everyone.
