What's your scrapbooking legacy?? What do you want to be remembered for??

If I could be remembered for one thing it would be that I tell the family stories - for me to consider my page worthwhile it must have a title, date and almost always journaling. They usually have lots of photos, I hate leaving out the details of the story.

I use to scrap because I had a story to tell........but that is not the case any more.......many times my page is about enhancing the photos and making people look the best that they can........but I still tell a story sometimes..

I found at first I just wanted to make a pretty page, I didn't add the story. Now I'm wanting to preserve the story, and make it look pretty! LOL

I am trying to add journaling, dates, ect. to my pages.

I told my daughter a few days ago, she asked WHY I make these all the time, and I said, I want you to know all the stories of your family, so that when I can't tell them anymore, you will still be able to tell your children!

I am definitely the recorder of the day to day activities of my grandchildren, the big moments and the small! I rarely feel satisfied with a LO which contains just a decorated photo with no story, but occasionally I do such a LO to fulfil a creative urge. My reason for scrapping was justified again just this morning with one of my granddaughters walking down her 12 years of memory lane with me through the albums of scrapbook pages...and she was the one who brought out the albums
