That is a scream LM!!!! Warning: Be wary of little old ladies who carry bibles!!
Nic, my son was in the city just before the book was released and there were heaps of people dressed up like HP characters too. He got some photos taken with HP and Professor Dumbledore!! I've only read up to book 3 (!) I am way behind, the ending will have been leaked all over the placed by the time I get to finish the series. I cant believe she has finished it off, it is such a big money spinner. Wonder if she has anything else starting off soon?! It would be hard to just stop dead and never write anything else again.

Hey Aussie girls, guess what! I ran into an international market this evening to pick up just an item or two and guess what I got! Tim Tams!! Yep, the infamous Tim Tams I've heard so much about. They had several varieties, mostly chocolate, but there was also a caramel variety. They were a bit pricey for such a small box, but I had to see what they were for myself. My final verdict.... yuck - blah - nasty poo!! They were just little, hard biscuits that nearly broke my teeth when I bit into them. Are you supposed to soak them in coffee or milk first???

Kasha!!! I must admit to thinking tim tams are too sweet!! I only like the dark chocolate ones, the others are too rich. I dont know why they were hard, probably stale or been in the fridge!!!!

I took all of you grannies on a trip for two weeks, and I'm trying to catch up a little. I just read where Sands has joined the flat grannies thread. Welcome, welcome, welcome Sands!!!!
And then I read that you dropped your external hard drive and lost all of your pictures. That is so sad. You had some beautiful ones. At least, a lot of them should still be on the DSP site, although reduced in resolution. Hope that the UK people can recover your files.

I was working on a technique yesterday where you duplicate your photo reduce your top layer to B/W and then with an eraser brush allow some of the original colour to show through on the black and white. I tried to find a photo which had a small amount of a bright colour in it. At the end I altered the opacity of the B/W photo just to let the background colour come through a little (this was in one your magazines Dags)
Has anyone else tried this? If you havent have a go I enjoyed doing it, even though I dont think the photo turned out as well as I would have liked.
Have a look at it and see what you think - oops hang on I havent uploaded it to DSP yet:ron: :ron: :ron: :ron: back later

kasha I can only assume that they must have been out of code because never ever have I ever heard of such a reaction to TIM TAMS before and I've taken and given them to many friends in the USA so I would check the use by date on them.
Normally there like nuts and potato chips you cant stop till you have eaten the whole packet.

Vallie, Thanks for the compliment on my B-Flats.
I took the B-Flat Singers photos to give to them in the nursing home this afternoon and told them about their adventures. I also told them that they were famous now, on the internet and all. I told them that you Flat Grannies really like them.
They laughed at their individual B-Flat Singers photos and liked the group photos I gave each of them. I posted larger copies of their layouts on their bulletinboard. I really think they were thrilled. I imagine that it is unusual for someone to be making a fuss about them.
They have become friends to me. They really looked out for my mother when she was there and made sure that she was well taken care of. This is the least I can do for them.
