A sadder thought is that maybe they, or their families, thought that was the best time of their lives. Can you imagine if we thought life was over at 25?? I have those beautiful heritage photos of my grandmother, but some of my favorite pictures of her are when she was in her seventies--they show a woman who has lived life fully!

Yes, that's why my friend wants a nice photo to be taken of her now (she is 62). She wants it glammed a little but not enough to mistake her for a 20 year old! She doesnt want to look too different as she said her grand son is always telling her he loves her wobbly chin!
When her mother died a few years ago, she asked me to fix up a photo of her mother that they could display at the funeral. The only decent one they had was a full length shot.

She mentioned you yesterday Sandy. She said she thought you were already in SA but I told her I was just talking to you on Hello the day before and you hadnt left yet. She is still in Aus for a while I think. They were on their way up north returning to their daughters place.

Ineke -- I was going to guess that you had flown over to the US and were an hour away from me!! We have a beautiful little dutch settlement nearby. Your tulips would rival theirs! Gorgeous photo!!
Shhhh! Listen! What is that you hear? No, you do not hear the sound of me racing around getting ready for work. No, you do not hear me backing the car out of the garage to join the rat race. You don't even hear me muttering in my closet, wondering what I'm going to wear to work today.
You wanna' know why? TWO WEEKS OF VACATION!!!!
:twins: :twins: Best of all: A stay-at-home vacation!!!! :twins: :twins:
What shall I do? What shall I do? OH, maybe hang out with the grannies!
Now don't you go and distract me from all the fun things I had planned around my house: clean out the basement, put junk on eBay, file-file-file, paint inside, clean out kitchen cupboards, clean out flower pots, etc.
Hey, I might be able to join the band if we go on tour these two weeks. I can hum. I can play a duet with Kasha. I can tap my toe.

Deb, hire a house hubby, they are all the rage here,he can clean out the basement, put junk on eBay, file-file-file, paint inside, clean out kitchen cupboards, clean out flower pots, and clean out the pool just like in Desperate house wives...and then you can spend your next two weeks here!!!! See I am always full of good ideas!!

Tesselaars is quite famous in Oz for tulips, they have the best bulbs. In Bowral there is a tulip festival in October. I have been a few times but more than 20 years ago was the last time. The tulips are gorgeous there too.
