I have been laughing my head off reading this thread!!! Only the other day a friend and I were talking about how scary it was that in a few years we could easily both be grandmas...now I cant wait!!!Sounds like so much fun! lol!!! (Oooh! I Better not say that ... yes, I can wait a few years, my oldest in not quite 16 yet...!!!)
As for that stripper, I have him too, or maybe its his brother, he's hiding somewhere in my PM box....now I kept that one quiet didnt I?!!!!
I might go and check and see what he's up to....if he's gone I will know he's off practicing his line dancing with "you know who!"

Ah, yes...mmmm. Thanks for reminding me there...I had hoped that had slipped by un-noticed....!!!! Well it was after midnight...!!
So I can call myself an Honorary Grandma ??!! Oh I am excited!!! Just so you know I am taking my role seriously, I have a dodgy hip tonight, and a wonky knee....I dont advise anyone over the age of 12 to take up Tennis lessons!!! I wonder, if I let the stripper out maybe he could massage my injuries...???!!!!!

Luckily I have a double set of dominos so we can build a BIG cage for kim's monkeys. I am more interested in the stripper though doncha think? Welcome to the honorary grandma, I know you will have fun.

Got your boots on girls? I am going to teach you how to do Bootscootin' Boogie at this party. I am now wondering as this thread dissolves into facetiousness (see - even Grandmas can still spell big words) if we are in the right place. Inspiration forum? I am not at all sure that is the right place for us

Carla,

I totally agree with you that being a nana is the greatest thing. My favorite is spoiling them so much and knowing that you can send them home. Haha. And when they don't come to visit I miss them badly.

Soon to be nana again for the 4th time in August and loving it!

Your'e spot on there K75 ..my philosophy is spoil them rotten, sugar them up then hand them back !! My DDs don't really agree with this I might add ..

I feel like an infiltrator here getting the inside information on what goes on in a Grandmas brain!!LOL!!! Yes Kay, I know I was kicked out of this thread for posting a photo of me and the kids, (it is amazing what wonders a 1.5mega pixel camera at 20 feet can do for the wrinkles!!!Everyone should try it!!!! LOL!!)
My kids dont have the luxury of regular Grandparent spoilings as their grandparents are all the other side of the world, (and yes I do feel incredibly guilty every day!!!) but Birthday and Christmas gifts seem to be getting bigger and bigger, the cyber hugs and kisses more and more lines ... maybe there is a set amount of 'inbuilt spoilings' that are in each grandparent and as they cant be given in little doses every time they see them they are all lumped together??!!!
Oh knees were ok at tennis today, its the elbow and wrist this week!!!

Congrats Kay. I have two living a block from me (6 yo and 2 yo); but they get to spend most of their time with me. And other (3 yo) that lives in Hawaii. They are fun, exasperating and a joy to watch.

Welcome to the reprobate grannie's club We are ALL young grannies out here!!! Grandmaship (?) is a terrific thing to experience, it is wonderful to enjoy the kids without the responsibilities. Your life takes on a whole new perspective. Is that your grandchild in the avatar? Very cute!
