My first book, trouble with layouts
Im trying to make my first digital scrapbook, and Im having trouble deciding how to layout my pictures. I want to make a book for my track coaches of all the pictures I have taken over the season. The book can be 14 - 48 pages with a title page and a front and back cover, so I have a lot of work ahead of me. I was just wondering if this is a good start, or if I should totally scrap it and start over... I just need some help and inspiration!!!
Oh, and I need to leave some space in the book for the team to sign and add comments as to personalize it.

Depending on how big you want it, you could make the inset photos a bit larger (of course I realize they'd be larger in a book) -- also, will you put their names with their photos? I do like the large photo as a backdrop. Hopefully someone who has done such a book will reply.

The book is 11x8.5 inches, and I can do a full bleed so I just have to leave a little room around the border for cut / print misalignment errors. And by larger, you mean by not having so much negative space? I agree. And I will not be putting names by photos, because knowing me, Id forget someone!!! Im planning to do some pages like this, and other pages like photo collages with bits of photos spread out everywhere.

I too love the pic as the background but like pp I'd make the smaller pics a bit larger! That is going to be such a great present and your coach will love it!

So Ive been slackin a LOT, I really need to get this book done asap because school is almost out and I need it done before the banquet! Hmm. I was wondering if anyone liked these pages? I am thinking of putting text maybe in the center of the page where there is a little space between the top and bottom.
I will be trying sooo hard to finish this now, I just get so lazy. Does anyone else have problems staying on task? Ive got about 2,000 photo's or more to sift through to put this thing together, my problem is trying to keep the book organized, each page and altogether. I want each page to only have pictures from one specific track meet, while keeping the meets in order throughout the book. Ahhh, so much on my mind.

I think these look great. Your coach will LOVE the book. You said you want people to sign the book...the first page looked like a great place for some people to sign...you know, if they had a featured photos, they could sign by it. I agree that it would be nice to have names...because the coach might forget some in a few years - might be worth getting a team roster and checking off each person to make sure each one has a special photo.
Anyway, I think you are off to a great start. Keep working!!!!

Thanks! Hmmm... maybe I could add their names to each of their photos... but not have it go in any order or anything, just have their names wherever their pictures are. But I feel bad cause not everyone has an individual photo, but they are in the team picture. Should I feel bad about that? I tried to get pictures of everyone, but I was so busy running!

Ok, Ive been working on it a little more. I was wondering if the title pages for each section look alright? Also, the comments page in the gallery, I was wondering if that looks alright as well?
Here's the link to the gallery Im hosting all of my previews on:
