Tutorial for PSE - Question

I was going to attempt this tutorial but I see that it relies on using PSE 3.0 or less and I just got PSE 4.0. Can it still be done? I looked at the "NEW" screen and it looks different from the tutorial. Any suggestions?

As a side note - I am extremely new to this and although I previously had PSE 2.0, I never used it for anything other than viewing my pics. I did just order the Missing Manual for PSE 4.0 but wanted to try the tutorial.

Thanks for the help.

I also have both versions of PSE. Four seems to run similarly to three, with most of the differences being cosmetic in nature: when you crop, the check mark is right there at the bottom of the crop area to make it easier to click; you can specify the size and shape of your text box, and the text will wrap while you are typing; there is a "magic extractor" feature that lets you do a few clicks to extract a subject from its background.

My suggestion is that you "go for it" and try the tutorial. Remember . . . this is all digital, and you don't have anything to lose. Good luck!

Thanks for the response. I actuallu did try it and it's a little different but it worked. I ended up making the page they suggested and this one: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com...0&ppuser=58860 which I actually liked better.

I bought PSE4 in February and I love it! You did a good job with your layout!
