Unhappy Photoshop Album Substitute Needed

Hi. I just bought the PSE 2 / Album bundle from an Amazon "merchant"--I loaded Elements but the Album (the part I really cared about) won't load--says wrong OS. The whole reason I bought PSE 2 instead of 3 was because I have Windows 98 SE...Amazon's description said PSE 2 and Album would run on it. BOX says Album will not (of course didn't read the box because picked based on Amazon's description). Thinking is going to be nightmare to get my $$ back based on Amazon's policy. But that's an aside. I have other photo editing tools...what I need is what Album does--letting me organize, etc. Is there anything comparable out there? I don't even know what kind of software Album "is"--what am I looking for? Disgusted. Is Windows 98 SE going to be my downfall on this?

Thanks for any ideas.

I haven't used PS Album, but I really like Picasa for organizing and tagging photos and scrapping supplies. Best of all, it's free, so it couldn't hurt to try it out! You can download it at http://picasa.com. Too bad about the Amazon mix-up - that must be really frustrating. Good luck!

Nope, PSE3 is what I wanted...but when I saw that it wouldn't run on 98SE, I tried to find the earlier version, which was PSE2 bundled with this Album thing. If I could have, I'd have gone right for PSE3... PSE2 actually works on 98SE, it's just the Album part that doesn't.

Jenn, this looks like what I need! Thanks! Guess I should have asked before shelling out my cash for the bundle!

ACDSee

I use Photoshop but I really like ACDSee as a photo management/album program. You can batch rotate vertical photos, batch rename, instant slide shows, doubleclick and see the photo as a full screen and more. http://www.acdsystems.com/English/index.htm
