PSE3 shutting down

I have been having trouble with PSE3 shutting my computer down (or restarting) while I am working on projects. This is so frustrating! I purchased a new Dell computer last November, and installed PSE at that time. I wasn't really using the Editor portion until April, when I took a DSP online course. Now I've been using it quite a bit.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Should I uninstall and re-install the program?
Looking forward to your ideas.

I dont know, but I thought this reply might bump it up for you! Sometimes it is a RAM issue, like not enough to handle a graphics program. Hope someone can give you better advice.
