I challenge you! Yea, you!
To all my fellow DSPers,
As many of you know, I am a breast cancer survivor of more than 1 year. I'm so pleased that DSP is once again hosting a ScrapPink BCA Awareness crop this Saturday. DSP will donate ALL of the entry fees for this day-long crop to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (DSP is even picking up the Paypal fees!).
I challenge all of you to sign up for this important cause. My mother-in-law died from breast cancer in 1998. So much has changed in 10 years; so much research, so many improvements in diagnosis and treatments. Much of this is due to incredible support from the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
If you can sign up, please do. The DSP designers have generously planned the day with tons of freebies that will be available to those who sign up (even if you can't take part on Saturday). There's also a national scrapping contest open to those who register.
Because I believe in this event, I will donate a $20 DSP gift certificate for this challenge. Anyone who signs up for the event and posts in this thread will be eligible to win. I'll pull a random winner on Sunday.
For information or to sign up, see this thread. Thanks for your consideration. DSP rocks!
Edited to add: If you're already signed up for the crop, feel free to post in this thread also... you're eligible too! thanks Lisa and Chris for pointing that out.

I'm signed up! I just got the pre-crop e-mail and I'm about to burst! I'm so excited and I'm so glad I get to participate in such a great cause (that by the way seems like it will be a blast and has already added two darling instant albums to my collection)

Sharon...what an incredibly generous gesture!! I already signed up and downloaded my albums This is such an overwhelmingly worthy cause - I wouldn't miss it and I too encourage every one here at DSP to participate if you can. Besides.....it's so much fun! DSP Rocks, and thanks to them for their generous support!

I've signed up for the crop again this year. Both of my grandmothers had breast cancer. One was not a survivor. The other one did survive, thanks to advancements in diagnosis and treatment. This is a cause that I support wholeheartedly and I am so pleased to see the response to this crop on the site. Will be looking for everyone Saturday in chat or the galleries!

Thanks for starting this thread Sharon!
My mom is waiting for a call back from the doctor tomorrow (she missed his call today) regarding the outcome of the tests she had done last week - she found a lump several weeks ago ... Mom is 85 years young and very optimistic, still, it's very scary, as I know so many of you all know first hand.

I'm signed up. Last year I was walking in a huge fundraising event for my dh's cousin who had just had major surgery for breast cancer. She's a survivor. I wouldn't miss this opportunity to help for anything.

I've finally signed up---I had an awful time deciding on which CD I wanted.
I can't for Saturday--hope to pop in as much as possible.
Sharon, what a wonderfully giving gesture. Thank you.
Blesses to all touched in one way or another by this, and any other, cancer.
