I use PSP XI and I have some speech bubbles under Preset Shapes. You can draw them the size you want.

Thank you for the reply. When you say pre set shapes are they in there already ? or do you have to go and download them ?

They are there already. Do you know how to draw shapes? If not, do a search in your help for preset shapes. Sorry I can't be more specific.

You'll find the preset shapes button on your toolbar right under the text tool. There's a fly out menu there that lets you use the pre-set shapes, a rectangle tool, an ellipse, or a symmetric shape.

When you click on the tool, it may pause a moment to read your shapes (like brushes). Once it's done, you can pick the shape you want from any of the ones in the the little pull down up on the top horizontal bar - just like your brushes. There are a number of conversation call outs.

Once you select the one you want, set your foreground to the color you want in your outline, set your background color to the one you want it filled with.

Then just drag it into the shape you want on your canvas.

Voila!

Well ladies I am feeling in a right muddle as you will see in the post I have just put on regarding the learning center on pspx. Deb I did find the pre set shapes button before I read your post but did not know how to use it. I am still in the first stages of learning you talk about brushes I have not even used them as yet. I will be bald the way its going tonight lol

OK, no problem, Teecha. A picture is worth a thousand words so .... here's a quick 1-2-3 tutorial image for how to find the right pre-set shape! Click on the thumbnail below to see the image.

Never stop asking questions.

Deb like you say a picture is worth a thousand words so thanks a bunch, now I need to try and get my pspx looking like it was as I lost my layers but then got them back. One thing that is still bugging me big time is the fact that when I click on the learning center on the Text and graffics to read up a bit it its still all greyed out and showing me nothing. I keep thinking I have a faulty disk ?

Teecha, I'm sorry, I don't know anything about a learning center. By the time they'd invented that, I'd used PSP for years. It was the first thing I removed off of installations. Then the browser.

hello everyone, hi teecha, (familiar face).
Pleease, I hope you can help me here. How do I turn a brush stroke? for example, if I use a brush stroke for a leaf, it goes one way, but then I want to turn it the other way or upside down? how do I manipulate brush strokes ?
Not sure if I explained it properly, but would be glad if someone could help me please. I am using PSE 5 - for now.
Thank you so much in advance.

teech, sleep well. I am curious, where are you located? because you go to bed at a different time from me. I noticed also yesterday you went to bed early compared to me. You are very kind, by the way.
Sleep well.

Hello Sabina and all you good ladies. Not certain what time zone you are all on but for me right now here in the UK it is 10-45am and a bit on the dull side out this morning so all the more reason for me to play on with learning my Digi scrapping

Sabina I am located in a small village called Glossop that is in the Peak district of Derbyshire see this link if and when you have a little bit of free time what is free time you ask when you find it please send me some

When I do get time I like to pop in the Heritage shop and then in the Craft shops. http://www.glossopheritage.co.uk/
