photoshop pinking sheer?

Is there a way to use photoshop to make shapes have a pinking sheer kind of edge to them?

You mean like a zigzag/scallop border? Yes, you should check out the pen & path tools in Photoshop. I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials out there. Or you can check out Lisa Carter's Paths class under the "Campus." It was a fabulous class....you will learn how to do borders, digital punches, lace, ribbon, & create your own templates to name a few. HTH!
Dorothy

Edit: The Paths class is coming up in September.

Thanks for the info, I will definitely have to look into the pen/path thingy *though I haven't had much luck in the past making a brush conform to the path, or creating a path from a text, but that was a long time ago)

You can also create yourself a brush to do this -
Create a triangle shaped brush - then adjust the spacing and then you can use it as an eraser to " cut" out with it
