Brushes/textures in PS

Okay... I have been on the hunt and have found some great brushes and textures. I have them on my PC.

How do you guys organise brushes and textures? Also, do you have them in a special folder or just in the preset folder?

Can you load brushes/textures and have them during your PS or do you have to restart PS to make them available?

There are just soooooo many, I want sooooo many and I now Neeeeeeeed a new BIG HD...

thanks

I have all my brushes and textures saved in a separate folders named according to what they are in a parent folder called PSE stuff. You don't have to have either brushes or textures loaded @ start-up to use them. You select them as needed. I use preset viewer to look at my things. I think new versions of ACDSee have the ability to view brushes, etc... now.

Yes, ACDSee is fantastic for organizing bushes, textures and of course ALL your photos and scrapbook pages. There is a free 30 day trial!

Goodness, don't feel stoopid or even silly - I can't telly you how often I forget things like that!

While you are in ACDSee don't forget to back it up and to optimize the database regularly. (back up then optimize) I am like a stuck record on that, but having just had it crash on me in the midst of an organizing frenzy (I lost DAYS of work) I just keep saying it!

Enjoy your organizing!

Just to clarify too- Photo Manager 10 can view abr files. Version 9 cannot.
But wow, what a great resource it is! I love being able to view and tag my brushes on PM 10.
