Came to cry in my root beer with ya'll.. DH fell off the pool deck we have been working on and shattered his heal.. Sigh.... We know it's in several pieces but until we see the Ortho guy on Monday won't know what's to be come of it.. I know this is really small potatoes in the grand scheme of life so am not going to cry to long but darn it all to
heck for now... It looks awful and is pretty painful to boot... We did some online research. One of the articles mentioned that 1 out of 10 of these kinds of impact falls cause lumbar fractures.. Some of you I am sure remember DH had major back surgery a few years ago and is full of hardware... So we have to be thankful it is only his heal..
Thanks for letting me waaaaa waaaa..
Hugs everyone and keep your DH's away from the darn pool deck edge!

Does she have state certification? I've taught in both public and private systems and, while states can certainly certify idiots, at least public schools have to hire people who have been examined. The private schools I taught in had many wonderful and caring teachers but there were no real training requirements--in fact, I received premium pay because I was the only one who was certified.
Also, be sure she doesn't make Bia stand up front with her while she apologizes! It sounds like something she would do and I think it would be very painful for Bia to have everyone watching her. All eyes need to be on the idiot who is apologizing.

She is a certified teacher - everyone there is. And it is an accredited school. That is an excellent idea about making certain that she does not make Bia stand up there with her......that sounds like something the b!tch would do.
Bia got flowers today from the owner of the school and one of the teachers. I thought that was very sweet.

LOL! Gotta admit I'm partial to electricity myself.

Good Lord, where is that district? Cause I might come out of retirement!!!! Have never worked in a district with those kind of salaries--in fact, haven't heart of any outside of Beverly Hills.
And despite the general belief that tenured teachers can't be fired -- they can. The problem is that school boards and administrations don't have the guts to write honest evaluations, document problems, and then carry through at the state level. But...someone in power has to be gutsy enough to tell the truth on evaluations.

This is the place to cry about anything. That sounds really painful but guess it's preferable to damaging his back again. Hope he gets good news from the orthopedist.
