After he picked them out he asked the cashier if she thought they would fit him. He is so bad! But he told her right away he was kidding. I wonder what she thought about a 69 year old man who bought something like this for his wife. She probably thought he was married to someone way younger. Wouldn't she be surprised? LOL!
How funny,

Other friends in Mountain View gave a concert to raise enough money to hopefully buy 3 goats for the Heifer Project and collected enough to buy nine of them! We were contacted before the concert so were able to make a donation, too.

I heard about a church that put together baggies of water, crackers, a granola bar, and stuff like that and sold them to church members for $1 to give to the homeless. They sold them all and used the money to help others.

Merry Christmas!
Oh my gosh.....sniffle....that is such a wonderful story!

The one we went to was at a Sizzlers Restuarant and cost $87/person and a buffet, so you could eat as much as you like.. Although I didn't eat $87 worth of food it was by far the cheapest around. Around where we live the prices were from $120 to 150 per person.

This morning I am packing for us to go to Rye for a week with DD,DSIL, Lucy and William, and DS who is over from Perth. We have booked a holiday house so that we can have a week of family time together. I am sooooooo excited about that!! The house has a pool so we will spend the mornings on the beach and then come home for afternoons around the pool. The weather is forecast to be very pleasant all week.

I guess the shopping centres are filling up now with people in a frenzy for the Boxing Day sales. A good place NOT to be!! The credit cards must just smoke today -it is crazy.

I hope all the up-overs have had a wonderful Christmas Day with loved ones. It snowed in Maine so my sister had a white Christmas, she sent me a video and it looked beautiful.
Sounds like it will be a wonderful time with all the family. So nice to read the news on Charlie also.

Our Western Australia weather is HOT. 35celius or more for the next week. We are finding it a bit easier as we live just 300 yards from the beach and get cooling sea breezes, but we are not planning on doing too much.
