Been busy preparing the caravan for a two week trip with friends. My back is almost better thanks to the physiotherapist. I have one last appointment tomorrow.

I tried some baking to take cakes & home made biscuits with us but I haven't baked for some time. My date loaf was a disaster - I took it out before it was fully cooked so our dog has been having half cooked cake for 3 days.

Today I made up some gingernut biscuits that are edible so have been placed in a tin for taking with us.

That's the storm system that went by here, but the *bulk* of the snow, the heaviest part, went north of where I live.

I agree with EG, Vickie!
I think I'm a paper scrapper too, and a QC scrapper, but look-- they were crazy enough to pick me!

I was not the least bit nervous before my knee was replaced and am hoping I won't be before the next one is either.[/QUOTE]

That's funny. . . before my hysterectomy, I was utterly terrified. Although I knew it was entirely irrational, I was convinced I was going to die. In fact, my first words to the nurses in the recovery room were: "I woke up!"

Since I work with them, they all thought that was rather amusing. . . although they were kind enough not to laugh at me at the time

Jennilynn, I'm not sure what surgery you had (look at everything I miss!) but I'm glad it went well!

Alice, you are in my prayers-- I know you will be glad to have this behind you *hug*

*yay* for Kay!

I have been watching The Weather Channel trying to find out what they are getting back in the lower corner of Michigan. It must be nothing because Michigan just isn't mentioned. If I go on F&(*_)$k that should tell me. I always read the GT before F*(*&)*k like all good little Grannies should do.

Amp-ing up the prayers, Alice. Also the other Grannies on my list. Kay's is a prayer of thanks along with one for continued positive news. Reading on for news about PQ's foot.
