You are so lucky to have teachers that are willing to work with you!

Yes I am..... the joys of a small school. We only have 145 students from K1 through to grade 10.

I just got mine in the mail today! Can't wait to play it! But I am saving it for Spring Break. I feel sort of like a cruise director. I am lining up all sorts of fun activities for the girls and I to do during Spring Break. Hopefully, it will be nice and we will be able to spend a portion of each day outside at the park. Then, I have crafts and games to do. And we will have several movie nights and 1 movie outing. I am really looking forward to it!

You have a supplier in Canada ..Brian Schaeffer..who is wonderful..he runs the case studies and trials (of which I am part of ! ) ..they have had some phenominal results ..it is all so encouraging and inspiring once you learn that Cancer is NOT a death sentence but more of a chronic disease that can be managed ! Why not drop him a line ( tell him you know me !!) I am sure he will send you heaps of info ! Many oncologists around the world use Salvestrols in conjunction with chemo and Western medicine ( although I personally opted for the alternate/holistic route)..you should Google the case studies as well !!
Okay ..enough of that..you do some research and see what you think ..I always say that Knowledge is Power !!!
I n the mean time NOTHING beats the Power of RED THREADS !!!!
Kay, do you know of any studies being done in Southern California. I'm interested in this but not finding much information. My husband is fighting prostate cancer. Thanks for any information you have.

MS Suzie accused OBT's 94 year old aunt of trying to run her and her boyfriend down with her car. She called the police and all. Upset the aunt as you can imagine. Poor Aunt thought she would go to jail, loose her license, and all. I guess other residents of the apartments assured the police that Aunt would never do something like that.

"Dad's" caretaker just told "Dad" either Suzie and her boyfriend are GONE or she was leaving...she couldn't live in the same complex with Suzie. Suzie has tried to physically attack the present caretaker in the past.

Soooo, "Dad" is going down to city hall TODAY to pick up the eviction papers and arrange for the police to serve the notice.
I was sooo hoping that by the time I read through all the posts I was behind, there would be an update on this. Did "Dad" follow through, LL?

Doug said that if I ever tried to carry a hamper down the stairs again, he would divorce me. Both of the bones in the lower leg were broken in 4 places - the bones were essentially shattered and had to be put back together with a plethora of screws, wires, nails, and plates.
omg PQ!!!! was that the start of the current ankle ordeal, all those years ago? Very very dramatic photo. . . and I bet the xrays are even more dramatic

Only when I get 5 continuous days of "good" day reports can he have one of his privileges back. Also I have now said that he is not allowed out of his room / bed until I fetch him in the morning. Hoping to cover the "tired" meltdowns. He often wakes up early and then sits and watches me exercise.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Today's meltdown was cos he got to stay in at recess, because he had been warned about talking in class and he ignored her and continued to talk even after 2 warnings. Then when she told him that he had to stay in at recess for 5 mins he started screaming at her!

I'm at a loss.... I really didn't want any of my kids to be so disrespectful towards their teachers, but it doesn't matter what I do, he continues to do it!

I had a very long chat with the social teacher at the school last night. She does not believe he is any different to any other boy his age and feels quite strongly about it just being a maturity thing. She will be calling a meeting between the two teachers, herself and myself for next week to discuss whether the "plan of action" put into place a few months ago is still ongoing, giving him the power to take control back by allowing him time to calm down. The funniest thing is... he only does this with the one teacher. The other teacher never has the problem with him and if he does get teary she deals with it immediately in a positive manner.

The Social teacher did draw attention to the fact that this was a really bad day in quite a period of time and pointed out that even her and I have bad emotional days. She also does not think it's fair that he is being punished at home for something that happened at school, but since I have already stated that he's to be punished that I make his "earning back privileges" more achievable for him and not to set him up for fail. 5 days is a bit long so she's asked me to break it up into half days. If he has a good morning, he gets half an hour on the ipad, if he has a good afternoon, he has another half on hour the ipad. If he has a bad morning, but a good afternoon, then he'll still have half an hour on the ipad instead of an hour. This way he is able to achieve a positive result.

My gosh, Sands, you and Little Mr are sure going through the ringer with this! I'm glad his teachers are so concerned and involved, but it is odd that there is only one teacher that seems to have such significant problems. I wonder if there is anything else different between that class and the others that could be contributing. Perhaps he has a learning disability in that area, so has more frustration to deal with, or perhaps there is a classmate that really aggravates him, or some other circumstance that makes the situation more challenging.

One suggestion I'd have: can you have him work on an apology of some sort for the "mean" things he said to the teacher? It might help you explore what else might be going on there, and probably be a productive use of his punishment time to be thinking about having to make up for what he did.

This parenting thing is hard. And someone forgot to give me my manual!

I will only let Megan do it at specified times because I don't allow her to use the internet on her iPad unless I am keeping an eye on her. It just comes with the device OS, JL. You do need an appleID to use it, but that's all
