I saw the surgeon about my back today and the news is not good. On June 24 I will have extensive surgery to fuse 10 vertebrae from T8 down. I will have an abdominal incision to put grafts in the existing fusion, incision around the bottom of my rib cage as well as a very long incision on my back. The surgery is expected to take 10 hours.
On a brighter note, I will be taller when he finishes.
