Then Abagael's first grade was scheduled to go on a field trip Tuesday and DD took a day off work to accompany. The school called off the trip due to predicted bad weather (the extension of that storm that went through Oklahoma). Of course...we got NONE of that weather. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day.

As far as I know no parents were angry, but it isn't a public school. When you are paying big bucks for the kids to go to a parochial school I guess you aren't as demanding. (shrug)

I may have told this story before! When I was in kindergarten I lived in a VERY small town. For our field trip we were to go to the fire station and then to get an ice cream cone at the only drive inn in town. We got to the fire station and no fire trucks were there. So we went to the drive inn and sure enough it was on fire! So we turned around and went back to the school! We were a bunch of disappointed 5 year olds!
