A question that is probably aimed mostly at the Uk ladies. Where do you get your albums/supplies for displaying your scrapbook pages?
I've got a Costco down the road from me and it looks like their prices are pretty competitive to print 8x8 or 12x12 but I'm not sure quite where to put the layouts once I've got them printed.

Oh and I've also got a local Hobby Craft but if I remember their albums were for traditional paper scrapbook pages so I'm not sure I can use those?

I haven't got as far as printing or having printed any of my Los yet!!
There was a thread on UKScrappers about printing LOs...can't remember if anyone mentioned albums in that...in the digi section!

Hi Rebecca, I buy my albums from Hobby Craft and you can get them at local craft shops, especially those that specialise in scrapbooking - I don't really think there is any difference between a 'paper style scrapbook album' or a 'digital style scrapbook album. You can also get them on line too.
I buy 8x8 or 12 x 12 scrapbook albums and insert my digital LO's into the protection sleeves as you would with a paper LO. I have my LO's printed at Staples and I've always been pleased with the quality. However, they only print up to A3 which is just over 11 inches wide, so the whole LO is a bit smaller than the album so be a bit wary about the borders IYKWIM.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Bernie and Cathie. I'll have to go look at the supplies in Hobby Craft a bit more closely to see what they've got. I've found a WHSmiths 8x8 album in the cupboard which I've never used, I bought it for something else but according to the packaging it's meant for scrapbooking pages. However I've just tried slotting a 8x8 layout into one of the plastic sleeves and the sleeve is actually a fraction smaller than 8x8. Does that happen often as my LOs tend to go quite near the edge of the page so I wouldn't want to trim them any smaller.

I ordered an 8x8 album from Ebay - there's lots of hobby and craft stores that sell them and you can get a pretty good price (inc delivery). The album I have is Goldline album and so far I've put one page in it, but it fits pretty well. I couldn't say whether that's the norm or not though.

Just dropping in to see how the not so new kids are doing. You all might want to link your new layouts here so we can see them.

OK, well I am continuing to work my way through the DET gallery and lift anything in there that I think I can manage! I'm finding it a really good way to improve, because it makes me look and study the layout I am lifting closely, and think very carefully about what it is that makes the DET layout really stand out.

I showed it DH, but he wrinkled his nose at it . Guess I'll stick to scrapping my son, since he's not old enough to complain yet!

Jo that's a great idea! I'm going to have to do that.
I've signed up for DSU190 - Designing Layouts and am having a lot of fun with it. I've used the same photo, kit and journaling to create two different type of layouts. The more I learn, the more fun I'm having!!

Great pages
I'm hoping to start a DSU class soon, but the ones that sounded interesting to me were sold out when I looked. Do you know how regularly they are run?

Thanks Jo!
I didn't know the classes could sell out. Aren't they all run on a monthly basis?

some run monthly others do not.. since several of the classes are for beginning level, the second class is for intermediate/advanced and run in consecutive months.. therefore the beginner class will be offered every other month. part of it does depend on how many classes the professor is doing at any given time. some months are typically busier than others. You wil find the class offereings slightly less in the summer months due to vacations etc.
