Bamboo small or medium?

It seems like we are going to be able to purchase a Wacom tablet while in the US! I am so excited and so are my creative girls. I thought a small tablet (pen&touch or craft) will be enough for starters, but my girls are concerned that the workspace is too small for all their digital drawing, inking, coloring, etc. They think a medium size (like the bamboo fun) would be better. There is a big price difference, so I want to get some advice from tablet users. Is the bigger size much better, does it make a difference? Or is a smaller one more practical? Thanks for your input.

I've got Bamboo Fun medium and my friend has it in small and I'd say it makes a huge difference. I find myself constantly running out of space when I'm using hers. But that might just be because I'm used to my own.

If you've got the money, I'll definitely recommend getting a medium. Wouldn't it be dreadful to come home and find that the small just wasn't big enough?

I'd spring for the medium as well. I initially ordered the small tablet, took it out of the box, and packed it right back up and returned it. I ordered the Bamboo Fun the same day and it is so much better. It is just about the size of a standard sheet of paper, so it fits the space your hand is likely used to drawing in.

I have the Bamboo Fun small and I have zero problems with running out of room. I use it with a 42+inch monitor and never a problem for me. Each corner of my tablet drawing space lines up with each corner of my large monitor, so I can't imagine what a larger tablet would do for me. I like that it takes very little space to the right of my keyboard, especially since I use it 100%...I never use a mouse.
