Question for our LDS friends

Hi, I thought there was a thread for LDS, but I'll just post here and hope someone sees it. I have been to one LDS wedding reception about 30 years ago, and it was more like a ceremony. Our neighbor is getting married at the temple today, and the reception is tonight 6-8. Since it is listed as a time frame instead of a specific time, do we assume it's more like a reception? Trying to figure out when to show up, but I guess 6:00 would work either way. Thanks!

Hi,

saw this on Twitter and thought I'd answer. Most likely, it's just a reception and you can come and go anytime during those hours. It's rare that there is a ceremony of some sort after a temple wedding. Sometimes they will do a short "ring exchange" for family who could not go into the temple with them but often times, it's either by invitation only or it will be noted on the invitation. But, most that get married in the temple will just have a reception in the evening.
