Western Canada gathering?

Just wondering how much interest there would be in holding a gathering/crop in Banff the last week of July 2011? I am willing to do some legwork if there is enough interest, otherwise PQ and I will just meet up and have some fun.

if I was coming up to Canada anytime soon I would but I can't see anything like that happening until at least 2015 (thanks to school to gain my nursing degree). I am hoping to move up there permanently for a few years from 2017

OK, so the plan looks like PQ will arrive in Banff on Sunday, July 24 and will leave Saturday, July 30. I was thinking of arriving around the same time and leaving on the Wednesday. Does scrapping on Monday, July 25 work for everyone?

I think the Banff Douglas Fir Resort and Chalet is a great location. The condos are reasonably sized and for a small group we could gather in our condo/chalet unless someone else volunteers. They have a full kitchen, so food is easy to manage. There is also free wireless, so we could have a chat with all of our DSPeeps!

If the cost of that place is too high for some, there are a lot of other options in Banff, including the hostel right across the street! It is also on the bus route so parking can't be an issue. And while we scrap, there are a ton of things for our families to do. We could even plan a photo walk/drive somewhere.

If you are planning to attend, please let me know so I can make sure we have enough room for everyone.

It's only 35 miles from Banff to Lake Louise! It's a great 1/2 day trip if you just want to take some pics. I haven't been to LL in the summer for a looooong time.
