The man-child and I talked for a couple of hours last night about everything. I am thrilled that he is fine about talking to me. One of the more humorus comments made was when he told me that he doesn't understand why his young nephew looks up to him when he is always the bad guy with the rules. I reminded him that kids actually find rules and boundries comforting. Then I reminded him about all of my rules that he tried to bounce off of back in November. So it's good that the adult-child relationship is still there yet he feels he can talk to me. Either that or he really did not want to work on that book report.

I am monitoring all phone calls because I am NOT running out for any plumbing issue that is not mine to deal with. I am not going to watch over the man-child as he makes the repair. I have done my part by suggesting she get a plumber.

I don't really think that it is a matter of me being unfocused as it is a matter of my lacking the desire. For example, I have a party at my house in 7 hours. My house looks as if that NC twister from the other night blew right through here. Is it a matter of focus that I don't want to clean or is it a lack of desire? I would much rather fool around in photoshop and hang out on the granny thread than scrub who knows what off of the wall in the bathroom. It's very simple.

I am sooooo looking forward to dropping out of real life next week to go on an adventure to Colorado and SLC!

Dix, I don't usually "do" Blogs (mostly because of time constraints), but I had to have a look at yours to see your rant. (Mostly because there's a job a NEED to do here at work that I'm dragging my feet on! ) Situation sounds pretty sucky with the teachers. Maybe you need a "face to face" with the teacher and/or to go to a "higher level".

Also, I can understand your *need to scrap* without WWE interruptions. I too live with a DH who is enmeshed with all things "wrastlng"!! Don't tell you DH, but some form can also be found on Thursday ngihts!
