Facebook Timeline Covers

I was looking for a quick layout to make tonight and I thought I would update my Facebook Timeline Cover. Then I thought...hey!! Let's see what else the DSPeeps can come up with! So, show me your personalized banners! I'll go first:

I used Time for Love page kit and Time for Love add on pack by Meryl Bartho to create my update Facebook Cover.

For those who don't know, Facebook is moving to a new format called Timeline. You can choose a header image for your timeline. It is an image that is 850 x 315 pixels. You can choose part of an existing image, or you can create your own, since you know how.

Is there a tutorial for doing this or guidelines on the facebook page even? I'd love to make my own, I didn't even know you could do that. Well, I just got the timeline yesterday, so I guess I'm a little behind.

They are images that are 850 x 315 pixels. I will add that info to my first post.

Facebook will use any size pic there & will just adjust it. It probably grabbed a recent pic for you. But you can just click that top pic on your page & choose replace photo. Then upload the one you've made (or a freebie you've snagged!). You can coordinate that with your profile pic on the left too if you want.

I just wanted to mention that I *hate* timeline. I can't stand it and I am so glad that I only use my facebook to lurk and 'like' stuff and that sort of thing. I don't really actively participate.

I do, however, like some of the timeline covers people are coming up with. Just wish facebook was staying the old way, this timeline thing drives me batty :-)

Here's mine.
It has the extra white there because I wanted to make sure that what I was putting on my timeline was exactly right, especially in relation to the profile picture, which is built in to the cover image as well as used seperately.

Nice covers ladies!

I have a question...I don't know why this sorta thing always gives me fits, but it does....
do you create yours at the 850x315 or did you create larger and resize afterwards?

I created mine at 850x315 and resized the elements to fit that size. At that size, it was only 325kb as a finished jpg.

I DESPISE the timeline format!!! But I rarely look at my page, so doesn't affect me as much as I thought. But I probably don't because it's all pic and the info is below the fold, which makes NO sense!!
I usually create at the size I'll use, but either way works fine! I just like to see my fonts in real size as I work. Although I, you know, rarely create things, I just plop or use a premade one!

I create at the small size and resize the elements. I made a couple of freebies too which are on my facebook if you want to download them:

Great freebie covers! Thanks Tina and Z!

I've made one, though I don't know how long it will be before I change it!
