12" X 12" scanner

Hi ya'll,
My scanner is finally dead...but hey, I had it for 8 years.

My old scanner did a maximum of 8.5" X 11.5 "

I would love to own a 12" x 12" scanner if such a thing exists (under $400)

Does anyone know of one?
Thank YOu !
Dalynn

-Or if not...does anyone know of a good one that comes with good software to splice two scans together?

Wide scanners are hard to find and quite expensive. I don't know of any off the top of my head. You can use photoshop to merge

Instead of a scanner, you could use a high resolution digital camera and frame it right. I think it would be quicker than scanning; however, it has some limitations such as straight edges are hard to get, and the focus may be off if its not set right.

Epson has a an oversized model they make speciffically for scrapbookers. I heard about it at a scrapbook convention 2 years ago. I think it was about $169. Try looking at their web site.

I would love one as well. I even thought about this before getting into scrapbooking. I knew I would rather have a 12x12 size anyway so I usually print my image as a 8x10 and create around it.
Sure would be nice to have a 12x12 scanner I will be looking as well the more I get into scrapbooking.
