need tutorial on overlays

I had just signed up for the overlay class this fall, and then I got a notification it was being cancelled. I was really looking forward to this class, because I love the look of overlays. Are there any tutorials on this subject? I can't find any, and I'd love to learn how to do them.

Try taking the brushes class - there is a lot of info in there as well

I've signed up for the brushes class. I really would like to find out more about overlays too. They are a beautiful look.
