Margie, I thought it was with the inspiration, that it used to be help and inspiration. but now all i see is inspiration (no help). Can you give me a direct link to that forum? thanks. i found the step-it-up gallery, just can't find the forum.

Angry question about adding lace

Hi,
I have a question about adding lace to a border or frame.I use PSP 9 & for the life of me I can't figure out how to add it around a border or picture frame. Can anyone out there tell me.I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks

I don't use PSP, but I have a suggestion. I found a free lace pattern online somewhere. Don't remember where, but you could google it. So I came up with 2 different ways.

1) Create 4 rectangles (one for each side). Fill each one with the pattern, then rotate them so it looks like the lace is going around the frame. Put them together so that they line up. You might want to crop them at angles so it looks like the lace is twisted at each corner to make the turn. Then merge it all together and crop out the middle. (That was a rough explanation.)

2) Find a lace brush, I think there are some in the store and brush a path around your rectangle. You could also select the rectangle and while selected brush it. I know in PS you can brush a straight line by holding the shift key. I would put each side's brush on a separate layer, so you could tweak each to get that twisted effect. (Again, this is just a rough explanation.)

I'm sure others might have easier, better ways of doing it. But I hope it gets you started at least on some ideas anyway.
