Need Advice on Resizing for Upload.

Can anyone offer some hints for resizing both images and layouts to fit with DSP's guidelines. I find that I have to resize about 10 times before I get something that is 125K or under. Are there any rules of thumb for image size (inches please) and pixels per inch? I'm starting with 5x7 and about 100 pixels per inch but that doesn't always cut it.

This picture (with frame and text) is really disappointing on the screen. The text is blurry. It is only one photo and very modest graphics compared to so many, so I'm not sure why it is blurry. Help!!

Thanks a million!

There are several ways to do this, it just depends on what program you are using.

I use PS, and what I do is Save for Web... I resize the image to 500x500 pixels, then I adjust the quality down from 100% to whatever it needs to be so that the size (bottom left corner of the screen) show just under 125K.

Some people will resize and drop the dpi to 72, then go Save As... to save the file as jpg. I guess it also will depend on which method you prefer.

I'm sure others will post how they save their layouts as web files.
