Printing
I just received a few prints that I ordered. Too say I am blown away- would be an understatement.
I only sent in a few pages- just to see what they would look like, wow oh wow. When I did searches & asked for referral's, this business came up as the cheapest at $1.99, & i don't think i had a reply to anyone using them.
ScrappingSimply
Customer service? YES!!!! They contacted me a few times because one of my first pages I made was not saved right... a bit grainy.. & requested I do it in 300dpi or whatever its called. Still learning. And then because I didn't know how to fix it, they did not charge me for it, & still sent the print. Which to me looks fine. LOL Not like the others... but ok.
Realize also- these are my first prints- so I don't have anything to compare them too. The only problem I see is that the bottom of the page was cut off a bit. Which I thought would happen when I looked at the pre approval pics.
I did some research & I am still unclear as to what size I should make the layout for printing. Is there a chart somewhere? LOL I read the DSP articles & i must be dense.
Thank Y'all, I hope you use Scrapping Simply

Nafeesa and her Mentee have initiated a Chat (Mentoring Chat Room) at 8:00 AM DSP time on Wednesdays.
Right now they're working on PSE 7, but Fee has stated that all are welcome to drop by.
Of course, I'm at work at this time, but I did get to drop by for a moment this morning!

Another conference method
http://www.adobe.com/acom/connectnow/
I *think* I have found the perfect way to have web meetings. And we all know Adobe is great. This has many benifits over other conferencing methods I have tried. And it is FREE, up to 3 people.
I hope someone finds this useful.

Holy smokes, Robin, that's fantastic! I love being able to share screens too. I'm going to have to try that out.... see how well it runs on my system and if it works with my setup.
Does anyone want to set up a time to help me test this? I want to know what I'm doing before I ask a mentee to do it.

I guess I meant, more specifically, before I ask one of my mentees to do it I love them both, but I do have a very beginner with me, and I don't want to overwhelm her anymore than I think I already have.
Maybe we can try it tomorrow sometime? I'm a little tired today, didn't sleep well, got up early for my session, and I'm hoping I can sneak a nap in somewhere LOL
I'm in PST time zone, any time between say, 1pm and Lauren's chat at 9pm EST tomorrow is good for me. I am hoping to make chat tomorrow night hehe! That's between 10am and 6pm for me, and I'm not planning on being anywhere but in front of my computer LOL

Rebecah & I played with it for a few minutes. It seemed to work pretty good. And the best part is it is NOT a program to DL. YIPPEE!!! She could see my screen & me messing around. We couldnt figure out parts of it... so after we played for a few minutes & disconnected, I went to the info page & it told me what we need to do to be able to write on your friends screen. Really a cool program. we didnt check out webcam or speakers.
My hubby is constantly trying to help people with their comp using the phone. This way he can just take over their comp & do it for them. LOL

What do we need to do then, to write on the other person's screen? Anything to DL for that? I'm seriously going to start using this for my mentor sessions, it's so genius. I think you just revolutionized DSP Mentoring!

Nope- it is all part of the room features.
This is how u write on other persons board (we wondered what annotate meant).
"Annotate a shared screen
The annotate feature pauses screen sharing and allows you and attendees to draw on the current screen using the whiteboard tools. For example, you can add arrows, shapes, and text comments. Annotating is useful if all attendees must review an item or document collaboratively. When you finish, you can save a copy of the annotated screen in PNG format. See Draw on the screen using the whiteboard."
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat....Now/index.html This is the help file that helps to explain it all.
