We had the privilege to see a young great white shark brought to the aquarium for a short time after being caught in a fisherman's net. One of my favorite exhibits; the jellies. Monterey Bay has an incredible variety. They are graceful creatures to watch as they float through liquid space. Others tumble around aimlessly with the water current. After moving out of the state, do miss this wonderful place. It�s a great idea as the children get to work within a budget for their gifts which are then wrapped by volunteer parents then and there. The down side is that I am likely to end up with duplicates... like 3 identical mugs, 2 nail care gifts... and of course it turns into a competition between Daniel and Rebecca. Daniel takes not only the $10 budget each child is given by Doug for their purchase, but adds another $20 of his pocket money. This allows him to get far more than his siblings. So what happens is that Rebecca is all excited about her mug, nail kit and little earrings... until she sees that Daniel has bought the same things but with the little teapot, beaded bag with rose soap, and the diary extra. Then the tears start. There are fights, recriminations and comparisons statements about who loves who more and which presents are better. Joshua on the other hand is not really worried about gifts, I guess gift-giving is not his main love language. He bought me the pink sports socks... because to be honest� they came with a bar of chocolate which is the thing that he really wanted to give me. He was happy with the socks and chocolate and figured I would love them. He was correct, and I loved even more that there was no drama surrounding his present!

My family just loves the books, so it is definitely worth the effort.
