Hey, if you can't get all their faces in one shot looking nice, try the feet, right?!?! This is also for the digidare #96. When I think of summer I think of green and yellow. The white flowers and yellow paper bring brightness to the page. The title is somewhat big (I tried bigger and it did not look right. And the picture is black and white. Designer and/or kit name only.): I have been wanting to scrap this picture of JJ with his hand eating raw cookie dough (don't worry, no egg, he is deadly allergic to egg) out of the bowl. But did not know how to UNTIL NOW!! The Artisan Notebook had a GREAT challenge in it with a how-to. You take a big main picture, make it the background AND highlight part of the background as your picture. Do you see the bowl in the bottom right hand corner?? :) I chose to highlight the hand and eye, because that look with what he was doing was TOO PRECIOUS! CC is always appreciated!! The photo was HORRIBLE, so I had to do a lot of manipulation to make it look somewhat good and to allow the part of the highlighted photo to POP. And although we were not able to have a cake (because of his many allergies) we still had a LOT of fun. He is SUCH a blessing and turning two is something we were afraid might not happen. It is hard to imagine that such a happy (and giggly boy) was not so happy (or giggly) just months earlier. I am not sure about the lil man. I LOVE it, but worry that it is too bright. Designer and/or kit name only.): It has been s long since I have scrapped, that I know this set of pages is not my best work. But I really wanted to get something out there about JJ's hospital stay. Feel free to CC. I need to get back into the swing of things. The handwritten font are thoughts from the hospital stay. The bolder text is from a song/hymn titled Come To Jesus by Chris Rice. The pictures are all of JJ during the hospital stay. He had a feeding tube going in through his nose down into his stomach for most of our stay. The first part, he was only on oxygen while they figured out what was wrong with him. Long story short, they did not listen to me, blamed me, and gave him a misdiagnosis. It is only now, 8 months later, that I have had the freedom to go to new doctors and get answers and JJ is finally starting to heal. But for me, the scars of the whole ordeal will take a while to heal. I still cannot walk into a hospital without having a panic attack. No pity parties though. JJ is finally healing, and this will all soon be a faded memory. Hence, the need to scrap it while the wounds are still fresh. The "baby doll store" is how my daughter affectionately refers to a local store which is like Build-A-Bear but you adopt a baby doll instead. It is a creation of a Christian friend of mine. My Girl

Designer and/or kit name only.): Every year, ever since my children were born, I write them a letter on their birthday. Now, I am starting to make scrapbook pages instead (including the letter). There will be another page which will have an envelope and inside will be a handwritten letter. This is my little MM (Mandy is not her real name). She is turning 4 this year. This was not my typical style, so I am unsure about it. CC always welcome!!! Journaling: Oh my dear, sweet Mandy! How you have grown! And yet, you are still my baby in so many ways. I love how you still love to climb up into my lap, just for no reason at all. I love how whenever you wake up from your nap, you come running to me, arms open wide, smiling from ear to ear and belly full of giggles to jump up into my open arms, and your legs wrap around me. You have a smile that I just adore, and it makes it very difficult to say "no" to you. I love how you jump up and down and get excited so easily! Since the day I met them, they have acted like honeymooners! This picture was taken for their 35th wedding anniversary. The overlay was created for Margie from my "Who Wants Me To Scrap Their Picture" contest. This was for our second child's 5th birthday. There is a store in the mall where you can go to adopt a baby! It is SO COOL!! They do all the things like they do when you have a baby at the hospital (weigh the baby, you hear the heart beat, give them a bath, even get a matching band to your baby like momma and baby do at the hospital). They throw a party (hers was a princess theme). You decorate cupcakes and play games and it was all so much fun! My computer time has been limited lately. This layout took 6 hours (which seems right because it usually takes me about 2-3 hours for a single page and this is a double page layout) 15 minutes at a time! :) I SO LOVE this quick click!!! I have th HARDEST time deciding which pictures to use, and this allows me to use more than the typical 1-3. :) And I finally get to use these kits FULLY!! not just a piece here and there. This kit set (Delightful) has to be one of my favorites!! Designer and/or kit name only.): When I saw the kits, I must admit my thoughts first went to Pirates of the Caribbean! But I had NO pirate pictures!!! SO what to do, what to do. Then I had this idea for a layout of my daughter getting older and the different stages she goes through and how quickly time passes. I will tell you that THIS version is NOT what I sketched out! LOL!!! But as the layout began to emerge, I saw the ability to do some "piratey" things. ARGH matey!!! But mostly, this is the story of my oldest daughter and her growing up. I have thought about pictures coming off the sides instead of being all on the page. I have also tinkered with NO TITLE! Oh the bounds of what is acceptable in scrapbooking have just been broken! LOL!!! I guess for those of you who NEED a title, you can use the number 5 OR the faded text. :) Background: Layer 1 - Background from A Splash of Colour Add on Pack2 Layer 2 - white Layer 3 - edge from Textures and Edges Layer 4 - Background from Glorious Night Backpack masked out center and lightly masked edges Layer 5 - Background from A Splash of Colour Add on Pack2 masked with edge from Textures and Edges opacity lowered Layer 6 - Background from A Tuscan Romance with everything but edges masked opacity lowered Layer 7 - elements from A Tuscan Romance opacity lowered Layer 8 - Background from A Splash of Colour Add on Pack2 masked with edge from Textures and Edges opacity lowered TEXT: Whispers From The Past - font: Windsong lowered opacity Love letter to my daughter - font: Windsong low low LOW opacity CLOCK from 4 Seasons Add On lowered opacity BABY PICTURE and 5 YEAR OLD - stroke white WHISPERS: Each photo was extracted, desaturated, diffused glowed, photo filtered and posterized. Then they were merged and an outer glow was applied. The layer was duplicated and masked out areas of the glow. A layer of the woodgrain from the Textures and Edges was applied with a mask over it so only the whispers were affected. A Layer of the background from A Splash of Colour Add On Pack2 was applied with a mask to show only the whispers. AGES over each photo from Pirate Dubloon Alpha, all but the "5" was lowered opacity CLOCK behind 5 same as above, only shrunk and a glow applied.
