I know that it has been sooooo looonnnggggg.... and I\'m back here to say hi! Been busy with school and stuff. So..anyway! Is that something whimsical or colorful? Yeah, I think so (giggling..) It was my oldest daughter\\\'s idea and she said something about "How Grimms (sp?) stole Christmas from us" then it just clicked in my mind about the pic of Malachi how he was mad. He wanted to open his presents even tho there was only two presents at that time. Wanted to scraplift this one. Lime background and swirls from Tracy Anne\\\'s Christmas Joy kit. Designer and/or kit name only.): This is first time for me to do a layout on my best friend: Kitty Mochi! Never make any layouts on my pets and I think pets deserve to be the center of attention. Overlay and word "cherish": Niecey Fonts: Aguiline and Texas If can't read then here is poem: A Happy Mochi There is a story told about a cat who discovered that happiness was in his tail. He kept trying over and over to get it, but all he could do was run around in circles. Exhausted and frustrated, with this endless pursuit, he eventually stopped. And then, he discovered that if he'd just go on about his life... then it would follow him wherever he went. Found him in trash bin by Pacific Market near my home and one of my kids heard its' "help". We found it and it was scared. It also was sick and filthy. We brought it home and adopted him even though we have other pets: two adult cats and one kitty. Now, they all are happy family!

I don't feel inspired at this moment but here is this layout that I thought, would be nice to show Niecey's kit and I love her true art works! Also, something really quickly that I only added was the photos of Malachi, my son. So ..that was it and this was only 15 minutes. This kit overlayer was supposed to be little dark brown but I colorized to match the photos. Oh well, thank you for stop by and have a a look at it! Ciao, Sayonara, Aloha, Bye and Talofa

Designer and/or kit name only.): *WHEW* This one took me about two hours and 1/2..no break between these hours because I wanted to get this done! This is for digital challenge and I wanted to try this technique and I did pretty good job..I think. Here is bit info as how to do one color effect: 1. Open your picture, in this example I used photo of my son Malachi. 2. First, we need to take away the colours and to reduce it to a two tone picture. So, click Image > Adjustments > Threshold. Give this a setting of 125 and hit ok. 3.Next we need to click: Filter > Stylise > Diffuse - Anisotropic - which... is a little bit at this stage like blurring it and taking away the rough edges. 4. Now, Lets hit Filter > Sharped > Unsharped mask - which will sharpen it more, but give us less hard edges than the threshold. 5. Finally, we will need to colourize it: Image > Adjustments > Hue/saturation and just play with it until you like the color effect. 6. Thats basically the effect we were after. Obviously you will need to spice this up by adding other effects and text! Try this and also play around with your PS or PSE or PS CS whatever you have... This was for digital challenge at 2peas. ALOHA!

My daughter's best friend is beautiful and strong and I admire her for being strong one in her struggling family. Her name is Hoku and it meant "STAR" in Hawaiian.

I had no idea what to use this kit until I found the pic that I think, would be perfect for this kit. Designer and/or kit name only.): * I forgot to 'title' my daughter's name and I didn't save this as in psd so....GRRR ... I couldn't find anything to inspire me and I decided to play with texture that I tested with PS mode: color burn, screen, variations, etc.. until I found something that inspired me so here it is!! *Added tons of brush sets from several in deviantartdotcom *For this kind of art I always start on a white canvas. I started with the image of my daughter. Run a smart blur (radius 1.1) over her picture. As always I duplicated the image and set it to soft light. Both have been desaturated and I used the diffuse glow filter to make it shiny. On some points of her face (lips and eyes) I used the burn tool becaus they just were too light. Now I started to randomly add brushes. (Linzee, AvH, Orchidee, Blind Rage) *Next I used my texture. Put it on top of the collage, used the gausian blur and set it to screen *The next step is we take the same background, run a motion blur and set it again to screen. Here I also played a little with brightness and contrast. * duplicated the b/w picture we started with and put it on top of it all, set to softlight. Now, the color looks a lot brighter. *�m not happy with the lips and eyes. So I duplicated the them using the copy merged command. I now have 4 layers of lips, set to linear burn. For the eyes I have now 2 layers. One is set to screen and one is set to color burn. *I love sparkles, as you all know. *g* So I just randomly added some of beautiful stardust BRUSH to the collage. *We�re almost done. Now I flattened the whole collage and added on top of it the paper picture. The setting is color burn and I used the gausian blur. That�s it. I tried my best to give you better tutorial and I'm really bad at explaining this. Also, it is hard to remember exactly what I did with each layer *GRINS* Well, thank you for looking and good night ..yawning... *I forgot to add: **We�re almost done. Now I flattened the whole collage and added on top of it the paper picture. The setting is color burn and I used the gausian blur. That�s it.* I use the brown paper to put it on top as last layer. It is so great to be back like I used to say last time...blame on Verizon for its lousy service. Can't have road runner internet svc in my location (don't know why) so I had to look for better dsl service and so far, I haven't find it yet but I am using AOL temporary. Anyway, this is one of my favorite layouts that I made two mos ago and I promise to leave details here when I have time. It's 1 in the morning..geesh! There is a little girl named Nani and she was playing with her friends. Her friends had an idea and told them to play Hide and Seek so she ran to hide under the huge umbrella of daisy and she is waiting to be found........ Gleeing.... this is my friend's daughter and I wanted to do RAK for her so hopes that she will like it and no, she is not one of SSB folks here. Designer and/or kit name only.): I made this one for my son Malachi and I will save this until he will be 18 or...when he will get married. That will be his gift; A poem of PARENT LOVE. I love this forest green color and it is kind of warm yet elegant. I added some brushes such as butterflies, borders and several grudgy. If you wnats to know where I get those from, just pm me. POEM: Will you sit with me and talk awhile, As I see your handsome face? May I look into your eyes, as memories fall in place? The times of new beginnings. The day that you were born. The hope and love my heart, I give, forever, never gone. I have "wished upon a star", as grey clouds turned brilliant sun. I watched you grow as flowers bloom, my wonderful precious son. I close my eyes, and wipe a tear, and smile gratefully, of that little boy, now grown a man, a special part of me. Those lollipops and jungle-gyms, ice cream cones and toys, dances, proms, "that special girl", that "final bow", the joy. May you sit with me again someday and look into my eyes. I added just two brushes of dragonfly and butterfly which are my own. (How cool is that?) I am not sure if this quote is perfect for this photo but my husband insisted to use this quote and I was like, " okay but..if there is a photo of Malachi looking into his cocoa mug then I would use that photo". "So, what..I think quote is right for this..", my husband said. (rolled my eyes around) This quote stated by Sara Teasdale and it says: "Children's faces looking up, holding wonder like a cup" and I changed "children" to "son". Daughter of God's Affection

Designer and/or kit name only.): Been without internet for two weeks because of my computer issues so I'm at Dunkin's and they have computers here. So, here I am! This brown bag texture that I scanned and used it as a background. All of those buttons are from the strawberry kit. And the green rivet Those 'power flowers'; my twin daughter Tara and I drew flowers and made them into brush set; Flower Power. Kind of like a woodstock symbol. I hopes that my second daughter Leticia will like this after we had some issues because she is going through her teenager phase and she couldn't accept the way how her mom had to limit her freedom or wants. Sometimes I feel like that I am not doing good job as a parent and I try my best as I can. So, this reason I made for her is the way to show her that she is fortunate to have parents who love her that much even though we couldn't give her what she wants. *Sigh* TFL and have a good day

I scanned a brown bag as a texture and used it as overlay after I drag photo over it. Used bright/contrast until I liked it enough. Those fairy dusts is from Auto FX program. I played around with texts until I'm satisfied. Typed the words then use the Layer Style: select drop, inner/emboss, satin and then select color burn from blend mode. Pretty self-taught,huh? Oh, about the burn edges on the photos, that is border brush from spy-glass site.

Designer and/or kit name only.): I was in mood to make a lo in mixed pink, yello and light orange. I added a lot of brushes and those brushes are from Dali.com (Swirls). Daisy brushes is from PS 7. My Tara was about 6 and she didn't want me to take a pic of her so she blinked her eyes on puprose. Now, she is 11 and she still looks so beautiful. Tara loves to pose for me and she is my favorite model.

She really loved it especially with bubble effects,flower brush and art piece of fairy. This also is her favorite color; Funchia. I know and maybe this contest requests to use digital elements, am I supposed to? Just let me know and I will be gladly to remove this post. If you have Ulead Photo Impact Pro 8.5 then this is what I used on the page. Really, this is simple program with less drama like Photoshop!

Also, I added maple brushes (AvH (http://annikavonholdt.com/brushes/), and her brushes are so brilliant. Jean texture..I really can't recall about where I got this from. My favorite effect is diffuse glow and smart blur, to make the photos look so perfect. Well, I had grand time doing this LO and I shall continue to do more! TFL

I had to beg and bribe her if I could take two or three pics of her;" Ok..I will be out with my friend so I need money for movie ticket", she said.*SIGH*, gave her what she wanted and that wasn't expensive. I wanted to create many pages on my children as much as I can and now this is my twin daughter Tara, the sweetest girl in my family. Thank you for looking! This one took about three hours to work on and it was easy with everything except words...I'm really lousy at words and took myself to think for about 45 mins. Yeah, it was no fun to think or come up with words. However, I think that I did pretty good job. Now, I am looking at this lo and I'm in mood to eat Jello cheesecake....
