If you have a princess like I do, then this kit is a must! This is my DD on her first Halloween. I made up a story to retell the events of the day. Journaling: Once Upon A Time... In the village of Old Hickory lived a beautiful princess. She wore a lovely crown that she helped her mother, the Queen, make. On the evening of Halloween she dressed in her warm pink sweat suit with it�s regal pink tulle skirt and prepared to make the trick or treat journey. But no matter how many times she tapped the magic pumpkin by her door, it would not turn into her royal coach. But our princess didn�t lose heart, she simply called the King and asked him to bring around her everyday coach, the teal green one that complimented her outfit and had the �Little Tikes� license plate. After collecting loads of candy, the royal family lived happily ever after. The colors are great for nature pictures, of which I have more than a few! Photos are from our church camp this year. Every year some little group breaks off to explore the creek and the wonders that God has left there for them to find. Techniques: I reduced the opacity of the background photo to 40% which allowed just a little of the textured paper to shine through. I also recolored the paper butterfly placed on the wordart to stand out a bit from the photo. To do this I created a hue/saturation adjustment layer and colorized it to match the word art. I then played around with the sliders on the adjustment layer to get the color I wanted. Designer and/or kit name only.): The cool colors in Tina�s kit, Fresh Inspiration inspired me to scrap a layout about cooling off in the summer. Loved the circles on the background paper because they gave my page that fun, bubbly, giggly feel I was looking for! Photos are from our church camp this year. It�s a tradition to have a slip and slide one day of the week and this year our improvised slide didn�t hold up very well. But, as you can see, the kids still had a blast! Journaling: Slip and Slide day is one of the best days at camp. Everyone looks forward to it. I think some of the counselors enjoy it more than the campers! The sweet, soft colors go so well with heritage photos or other sepia prints. I love this photo of me and my hubby and just had to scrap it again with this wonderful kit. Several have commented about the "rays" or "sparkies" so I just thought I'd say that they were part of the photo. The photographer used a special filter (I've got one too, but can't think of what it is called - cross section filter I think) to create the effect. It's a fun filter to use around the christmas holidays with all the little lights. The elements work well together and in less than 30 minutes I had pulled together this cute layout with some of my daughter�s photos. I love the fresh funky feel it has and it goes perfect with my daughter�s personality. Techniques: I duplicated the word art element and set the layer to multiply to get a darker color in the text. This made it show up better on the yellow background that I just love! Time Flies

They really bring it home to me, how much my family has changed through the years. These are two photos of my DD and my niece. Nicole�s [url=http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10833]Lost in Wonderland Page Kit[/url] had the perfect touch of fantasy to add a whimsical touch to this layout. I loved the wings and immediately thought of the phrase �Time Flies� when I saw the pocket watch. Techniques: I duplicated grass and sky background paper and deleted the sky portion. I then set the layer style to multiply (this got rid of any blue left in the grass). I then laid it over the extracted photo at the bottom so it gave some grass sprigs to show in front of the girls and add a little dimension and grounding. I also duplicated the cloud layer, flipped it and then reduced the opacity to 85% before placing it behind the framed photo. The camera is just awesome and I love the dark rich colors! This is a photo of a distant cousin. Not sure what the bottle is he is holding, but it is possibly one of the spring water bottles that were bottled locally. Although, it could be something stronger! I only had one photo so I used it several times. Once in the photo frame, once inside the lens, and 4 times in the filmstrip � I tinted this one to match the filmstrip. And one last time blended into the background paper using a screen layer setting. Latimer Boys

I have never seen them in person, but they have always fascinated me. So, Kim�s kit, Aspen Grove was a must for my collection. I knew immediately that I wanted to use it with this photo of my DH and our two DGS. The woodsy setting was a perfect match. I duplicated the border overlay and rotated it 90 degrees to get an all-around border instead of just the top and bottom. Everything else is just resized and rotated. I think I�ll be using this kit again and again� Journaling: The grand opening of Latimer Reservation was a special day for Ron. It marked the beginning of offering program to teens and adults interested in high adventure. A lot of hard work went into getting camp ready to �show off� to all the visitors. But I think the presence of two little grandsons made it extra special. The Green Tea Page Kit by Tina Chambers was perfect pair with my DH�s photo of a rainbow that he took this week. The mist from the rain gave the photo a dreamy quality that I tried to enhance by blending it into the background. Who new that pot�s of gold were in those sand traps??? I also had a �blast� taking fireworks photos and I wanted to somehow blend the photo into my paper. Black Crested Night Heron

This is the first year that we have seen these birds and they are quite majestic. Their short stubby bodies make them look a bit out of proportion compared to their Great Blue Heron family member. I do however, like to push myself from time to time and give it a try�again. The swirls and color blocks make my grungy layout come together in a snap! Layout: I used a gradient mask on the gray gridded paper to get a light to dark feeling in my background. I extracted the face and blended it into the background by lowering the opacity to about 40%. The blues in this kit are so relaxing and easy to work with. I paired the kit with another photo of my new baby granddaughter. Who says blue is for boys!! Layout: I removed the dark background edge from around the Blue Melody paper and resized it smaller. I lowered the opacity to 95% on the White Damask Linen background and layered it over the Midnight Velvet layer. Everything else was from the kit as is. I created my own word art for this layout.
