But I think I am going to start using them more because every plopper here at DSP is so beautiful and can help you whip up an album in no time flat. And this plopper, Very Girly by Lauren Bavin, is certainly no exception. Designer and/or kit name only.): I felt myself get teary eyed when I was working on this layout of my DH. I used Teresa Loman's incredible [URL=http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_18&products_id=10740]Celebrate Freedom Kit[/URL]. Scrapping this photo of my hubby was super easy. I felt the pride in my heart when I paired the two. :D The journaling reads: When I look at you, I think of your stories about your days in the Army, and in particular, your time served in the Gulf War. Although you said you only had to pull your gun out once, I know you had to be very brave. The things you saw and almost stepping on a landmine are things that chill me to the bone. Then you told me about how after you went back to your vehicle, another soldier from another unit stepped in the same area you did and set off the landmine. Oh how that saddens me. I am heartbroken over that soldier yet thankful that it wasn�t you. You were there a short time compared to the soldiers who are serving in Iraq today. But in that time you saw some horrible things. Things you won�t talk about. Things that you can�t stop remembering. And no matter what I do, I can�t take that away from you. As much as I want to. So it�s with much affection, my love, and much pride that I want to say, that I thank you, and all of our men and women who have served and are still serving today, that I thank you for my Freedom.

The blues in this kit go wonderfully with the blue plate that this scrumptious chicken was plated on, and the beautiful elements pulled the page together to help me to tell my story of how much I love this dish! Perhaps I should create a cookbook, and replace the journaling with the recipe! :D

I also added the wind element from Nicole's [URL=http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_95&products_id=10580]Windsong Add-On Pack[/URL]. And for a couple little extra touches, I used Meryl Bartho's [URL=http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_144_145&products_id=8882]Cracked & Creased Overlay No. 4[/URL], as well as Lauren Bavin's [URL=http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_19_134&products_id=6936]Golden Swirl Sentiments Word Art[/URL]. I recolored the word art to coordinate with my layout simply by using Hue/Saturation in Photoshop CS3. This can also be done in PSE!

I love the soft creams, blues and greens of this kit along with the wonderful flourishes and flowers. And finally, I just had to use the new font, DSP Schmansy, from the brand new [URL=http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_217&products_id=10755]Red, White & Blue Mega Kit[/URL].
