A little history about the Palace of Fine Arts. So how original is that? At least I did draw them, and then arranged my compositions. I will say it took forever to paint each little line on the mats. These are painted on canvas boards and I photographed them. I now used the top left one as a backdrop for an earring holder which I made. I have taken a hand built ceramic class and I think that is why I have an appreciation for that art. Also, of course, it's South West! There is still farmland located behind the Mission grounds. The Mission is still a very active part of this community and very interesting to visit. In this piece I wanted to show the Mission, but also the farmland which is behind the Mission. It was without a doubt one of the harder ones I have done. Your critique is welcome. For the dark overlay frame, I duplicated the background, brought in the rulers and guides to a one inch border, them deleted the center part. I then set it to Difference Mode at 55% which then let me see the background through the frame. I use Modes quite often, but I have never used Difference for anything.
