My friend Maggie and I had walked from Grand Central to Battery Park, and then took the subway uptown and then hired a bike taxi to take us to Times Square. We had a blast!! Step back in time. This whimsical CHILD'S PLAY Page Kit featuring yellow, blue, white, and brown elements has an old turn-of-the-century feel, with a dash of modern day influence. Designer and/or kit name only.): I've used this photo before, but I wanted to use this kit to make a layout that reflects some of the emotions I'm feeling right now. Being in a constant state of transition for the past 3 years has impacted me, and yet the constant in my life if my faith and my family. No matter where I am, I cannot hide from my Creator. And why would I want to? So this page celebrates His love for me and my unabashed love for Him. I named this kit "Juxtapose" for the elements as well as the layout that I created while I was creating the kit. The juxtaposition of the formal frame, the antique tatting and journal, the glittery gold scroll against the the grungy backgrounds was inspired by the contrast of my life: saint and sinner, lost and found. With this theme in mind, I created a formal double mat from the bg papers and aligned the wooden corner and juxtaposed that with the skewed journal and paper. The text is from Psalm 139, my favorite. You have searched me, Lord and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? This kit is one of my favorites, and I hope you love it too.
